Viking Metal aus dem sonnigen Kalifornien klingt schon etwas abstrus. Nun gut, es sei so. HELSOTT ist die Bezeichnung einer t\u00f6dlichen Krankheit in der altnordischen Sprache und das Quartett ver\u00f6ffentlichte gerade ihr zweites Album.<\/p>\n

10 Titel sind hier insgesamt vertreten und ganz nebenbei wurde eine ganze Wagenladung an Gastmusikern heran gekarrt. EQUILIBIRUMs Dom Crey, Masha Scream und Lazar (ARKONA), TROLLFESTs Dr. Leif Kjonnsfleis und Bj\u00f6rn Friedrichsen (WITHERED MOON) und eins zwei mehr.<\/p>\n

Mittlerweile bin ich beim sechsten Titel “Trollskald feat. Trollmannen Kevin Storm and Bjorn_Friedrichsen<\/strong>” angekommen und finde leider keinen so richtigen Zugang zum Album. F\u00fcr mich ist es eine Aneinanderreihung von Titel und Metal-Sparten. Ich h\u00f6re Death, Black und Viking Metal – Screams, Growls und noch allerlei T\u00f6ne. Keine Frage, hier sind schon Musiker mit F\u00e4higkeiten am werkeln, aber mir fehlt einfach das…….aus einem Guss…\u2026.! Sind etwa doch ein bis drei “Besucher” zu viel dabei gewesen?<\/p>\n

Empfehlen kann ich dennoch “Honour Thy Valkyrie<\/strong>” und das Coole in eigener Interpretation und Darbietung gespielte “Runnin Down a Dream – Tom_Petty Cover feat. Lethien<\/strong>“.<\/p>\n

Fazit:<\/strong> Viele “K\u00f6che” haben hier leider f\u00fcr mich den Havregr\u00f6t versalzen und nicht sonderlich genie\u00dfbar gemacht. H\u00e4tte man sich auf einen am Herd beschr\u00e4nkt und auf seine eigenen vorhandenen St\u00e4rken gebaut, w\u00e4re er vermutlich schmackhafter geworden. Schade.<\/p>\n
