In den fr\u00fchen 80er Jahren gab es eine schwedische Band namens Blacksmith<\/strong>. Beeinflusst und inspiriert von Bands wie Rainbow und der New Wave des britischen Heavy Metal, bekamen sie nach einigen Jahren harter Proben die Chance, die “Gipsy Queen” EP aufzunehmen, die 1985 ver\u00f6ffentlicht wurde.<\/p>\n

Blacksmith<\/strong> schaffte es, eine starke Fangemeinde aufzubauen, und die 7-Zoll-Single “Tomorrow’s Mystery” (ver\u00f6ffentlicht ein Jahr sp\u00e4ter, 1986), die die Ballade “The King Has Lost His Crown” enth\u00e4lt, erreichte sogar die Charts in Japan.<\/p>\n

Sowohl die Single als auch die “Gipsy Queen” EP sind zwei Ver\u00f6ffentlichungen mit einer gro\u00dfen Nachfrage von Fans von Hard Rock und Heavy Metal rund um den Globus. Es gibt wenige unver\u00f6ffentlichte Songs aus den Probesessions, und selbst wenn die Qualit\u00e4t dieser Aufnahmen nicht sehr gut ist, ist es Zeit, eine vollst\u00e4ndige CD zu ver\u00f6ffentlichen, die die fr\u00fchen Jahre der Band zusammenfasst.<\/p>\n

“Gipsy Queen – The Early Years 1983 – 1986<\/em>” erscheint am 28. September 2018 auf No Remorse Records und beinhaltet alle Tracks der legend\u00e4ren Deb\u00fct EP, 2 Tracks der 7 “Single von 1986 sowie 3 zuvor unver\u00f6ffentlichte Probenaufnahmen. Die Band trennte sich 1987, aber S\u00e4nger Per Englund reformierte die Band 1997 mit einer neuen Besetzung, aufgrund der gro\u00dfen Nachfrage des japanischen Publikums.<\/p>\n

Diese mir hier vorliegende Compilation ist ein Zeitdokument, ein musikalisches Zeitzeugnis des Heavy Metals, des Hard Rocks. Der Sound ist schlecht, daf\u00fcr aber Original und f\u00fcr Sammler von Rarit\u00e4ten garantiert ein Muss aufgrund der minimalen “\u00c4ra” der Schweden aus Vimmerby.<\/p>\n
