ZERO DOWN aus Seattle, mit ihrem f\u00fcnften Album seit August am Start und aktuell auf meinem Plattenteller. Gegr\u00fcndet wurde die Band 2002 und besteht aus Lenny Burnett \u2013 Lead & Rhythm Guitars, Vocals – Matt Fox \u2013 Lead & Rhythm Guitars, Vocals – Ron E. Banner \u2013 Bass, Vocals – Chris Gohde \u2013 Drums und Mark \u201cHawk\u201d Hawkinson \u2013 Lead Vocals & Screams. Ihr letztes Album erschien 2014 und hie\u00df “No Limit To The Evil”.<\/p>\n

Der Opener “High Priestess<\/strong>” geht gut ins Knie, kommt schwer daher und verleitet – zumindest mich – zum mitwackeln und dies nicht nur am kleinen Zeh. Ein cooler Song, der rockt. “Mean Machine<\/strong>” ist eher Metaldurchschnitt, soll hei\u00dfen: ein Rhythmus, wo ich nicht mit muss. Dagegen zieht mich “Lightening Rod<\/strong>” wieder in seinen Bann, die Geschwindigkeit wird hochgeschraubt. Hier darf getrost der Nackenmuskel strapaziert werden und Die Rhythmussektion liefert Galopp, Groove und Heaviness. “Racoon City<\/strong>” f\u00e4llt wieder f\u00fcr mich in die Sparte……hm….nichts dickes.<\/p>\n

“Curandera<\/strong>” liefert minimale Hardcore Einfl\u00fcsse groovig musikalisch ab, w\u00e4hrend “Western Movies<\/strong>” flott mit Bass und Schlagzeug zu Werke geht, im leichten Punk-Hardrock Stil und “Preacher Killer”<\/strong> zwingt mich jetzt nicht aufzustehen. “Lone Wolf<\/strong>” \u00fcberzeugt mich wieder mit einer exzellenten Bass-Line von Ron Banner, der Song ist schwer und grollt. “Larger Than Death<\/strong>” ist das Vorspiel, die Vorsequenz von  Horns<\/strong>“. Hier springe ich wieder hoch und sch\u00fcttel mein Haupthaar (aktuell nicht mehr, aber man darf ja noch r\u00fcckw\u00e4rts tr\u00e4umen). Der Song rockt und z\u00e4hlt f\u00fcr mich definitiv zu den Highlights auf dem Album. <\/p>\n

Fazit:<\/strong> Die Gitarrenharmonien, der Hard Rock Groove und der Metal mit Punkeinfl\u00fcssen konnte mich trotz (m)einer Quote von 70:30 \u00fcberzeugen.<\/p>\n
