Ein Album was fast aus dem Stegreif entstand, genauer gesagt binnen weniger Stunden aufgenommen wurde. Hammer! SIEGE OF POWER<\/em> sind: Chris Reifert – Vocals<\/em> (Autopsy, Violation Wound, Abscess, Painted Doll) Paul Baayens<\/em> – Guitars<\/em> (Asphyx, ex-Hail of Bullets, Thanatos) Theo van Eekelen – Bass<\/em> (ex-Hail of Bullets, ex-Houwitser, ex-Grand Supreme Blood Court) Bob Bagchus – Drums<\/em> (ex-Asphyx, Soulburn, ex-Grand Supreme Blood Court). Da sieht man bzw. liest man schon, dass hier excellente Musiker aus der Todesmetal-Richtung am werkeln waren.<\/p>\n

Was 2013 begann und dann wieder \u00fcber den Haufen geworfen wurde, ist zum Gl\u00fcck zur\u00fcck. Vor kurzem erschien die Single “The Cold Room<\/em>” (10. August 2018) und nun knapp einen Monat sp\u00e4ter das mir vorliegende Deb\u00fctalbum “Warning Blast<\/em>“, das mit 20 Titeln (inkl. zwei Bonus Tracks) ausgestattet daherkommt und knapp 46 Minuten auf den Zeiger bringt.<\/p>\n

Der Opener “Conquest For What?<\/strong>” setzt die Death-Metal-Walze aber mal so richtig in Gang und prescht nach einer kurzen, doomigen Beginnphase frontal vorw\u00e4rts. “For The Pain<\/strong>” tritt mir noch eine Stufe h\u00f6her in die Weichteile. Geile Schei\u00dfe. Freunde von Asphyx, Bolthrower und Co sollten hier beiden Ohren spitzen, ich bin jetzt schon hin und weg. Ich mag diese schweren Passagen – genauso wie sie mir hier dargeboten werden. “Bulldozing Skulls<\/strong>” und “Born Into Hate<\/strong>” gehen richtig fett kreativ nach vorne, teilweise in der Geschwindigkeit runter, dann wieder rauf und Herr Reifert setzt dem ganzen vokalistisch noch die Krone auf.<\/p>\n

“Torture “Lab” ist schwer angelegt, ein Hauch Death-Metal Doom hallt durch meine Ohren. “Uglification<\/strong>” ist wieder ein Brett in Sachen Geschwindigkeit und Aggressivit\u00e4t vor dem Herrn, genauso wie “Diatribe<\/strong>“, “Privileged Prick<\/strong>” und “It Will Never Happen<\/strong>“. Zwischendurch wird es nie langweilig. Mit Trapped And Blinded<\/strong>” geht es im Mid-Tempo vorw\u00e4rts, bei “Warning Blast<\/strong>” schwerm\u00fctig, d\u00fcster, mit “Short Fuse<\/strong>” stampfend mit Richtungswechseln, “It Will Never Happen<\/strong>” setzt nochmal zur Attacke an und die beiden Bonustracks “Servant of Nothing<\/strong>” & “Mushroom Cloud Altar<\/strong>” reihen sich nahtlos ein in dieses perfekte Gesamtbild.<\/p>\n

Fazit: <\/strong>OLD SCHOOL DEATH METAL vom feinsten! Begeisterung meinerseits, volle Ladung, volle Breitsteite, mehr geht nicht…\u2026…Punkt!<\/p>\n
