CAULDRON ist ein kanadisches Metaltrio aus Toronto, gegr\u00fcndet im Jahre 2006. Anfang September erscheint ihr f\u00fcnftes Album “New Gods<\/em>” \u00fcber Dissonance Productions.<\/p>\n

Bisher kannte ich diese Band nicht. Daher freue ich mich umso mehr wieder einmal was neues entdeckt zu haben, denn was ich hier in 40:58 min. h\u00f6re, gef\u00e4llt mir richtig gut. Cauldron z\u00e4hlt f\u00fcr mich zu der neuen Generation von traditionellem Heavy Metal. Hier treffen viele Einfl\u00fcsse aufeinander, greifen ineinander. Trotzdem treffe ich hier auf wunderbar eingearbeitete Facetten, auf Eigenst\u00e4ndigkeit und einen eigenen Stil.<\/p>\n

Ich lausche in letzter Zeit des\u00f6fteren Alben wie auch diesem \u00fcber Kopfh\u00f6rer und finde hier eine mannighaft musikalische Entfaltung in vielen Details, getragen vom melancholischen Gesang von Jason Decay, viele Feinheiten treten nach und nach hervor. Gerade deswegen haben CAULDRON f\u00fcr mich einen hohen Wiedererkennungswert und es macht einfach Spa\u00df, diesem Werk zu lauschen. Songs wie “Prisoner of the Past<\/strong>“, “No Longer<\/strong>“, “Letting Go<\/strong>” oder “Drown<\/strong>” sind definitive Highlights, aber auch alle anderen konnten mich begeistern.<\/p>\n

Fazit:<\/strong> Das Trio beschw\u00f6rt die klassischen 80er Jahre Metal Vibes von Acts wie Scorpions, Dio und Judas Priest herauf. Ein perfekt grundehrlich gesetzter Metal Punch mit einer vor Energie strotzenden Band. Excellent!<\/p>\n
