So schwer habe ich es lange nicht mehr mit einer Kritik gemacht. Das liegt aber nicht daran, dass mir das Album nicht gef\u00e4llt, es passt f\u00fcr mich einfach nicht wirklich in das genannte Genre, Progressiv Metal.<\/p>\n

Ich habe mir jetzt f\u00fcnf mal das vorliegende Doppelalbum angeh\u00f6rt, ich bin fasziniert und gefesselt von dem herausragenden Songwriting. Es ist gut arrangiert und produziert, kommt mit einem klaren Sound r\u00fcber.<\/p>\n

Auf dem Album finden sich viele ruhige St\u00fccke, wovon die meisten vom Keyboarder Jordan Rudess getragen werden. Er und S\u00e4nger James LaBrie machen f\u00fcr mich einen gro\u00dfen Teil von Dream Theater aus. Nat\u00fcrlich finden sich auch typische Progressiv Metal St\u00fccke auf dem Album, also das, was man von Dream Theater erwartet. Aber ich finde, dass die Band hier einen gro\u00dfen Schritt gemacht hat, eine Weiterentwicklung, welche mir gut gef\u00e4llt.<\/p>\n

Insgesamt ein kompaktes Album ohne irgendwelche Ausf\u00e4lle. Absolut empfehlenswert. Besondere Anspieltips m\u00f6chte ich nicht nennen, da dies die anderen St\u00fccke abwerten w\u00fcrden. Top!<\/p>\n
