Phil Campbell, Waliser seines Zeichens und 32 Jahre Gitarrist bei Mot\u00f6rhead. Diese \u00c4ra ging leider mit dem Tode Lemmys zu Ende. Sein ehemaliger Bandkollege und Drummer MIKKEY DEE schloss sich den Scorpions an, w\u00e4hrend Campbell sich seine S\u00f6hne musikalisch schnappte und mobilisierte. Todd, Dane und Tyla sowie S\u00e4nger Neil Starr bilden neben Phil Campbell das Quintett. Die Geburtsstunde von PHIL CAMPBELL AND THE BASTARD SONS war im August 2016 beim legend\u00e4ren Wacken Festival in Deutschland. Seitdem hat die Band eine selbstbetitelte EP ver\u00f6ffentlicht und bereits zahlreiche Headlineshows und Festivals in ganz Europa gespielt.<\/p>\n

11 Titel liegen mir vor und man kann die N\u00e4he, die Verbundenheit zu Mot\u00f6rhead h\u00f6ren, stilistisch sp\u00fcren und wie ich einfach genie\u00dfen! Mit Neil Starr haben sie die stimmliche Perfektion f\u00fcr dieses Projekt, f\u00fcr diese Band gefunden. Der Opener “Ringleader” und das folgende “Freakshow” sind zwei perfekt rockend und geradlinige Songs. Oldschool Rock`n Roll Baby! Hier geht die Post ab, hier wird aufgedreht. Coole Mucke! “Gipsy Kiss” setzt dort nahtlos rockend an, w\u00e4hrend es bei “Dark Day” blueslastig und schwerm\u00fctig weitergeht. “Step into the Fire” rockt wieder schn\u00f6rkelos vorw\u00e4rts. “Into The Dark” beschlie\u00dft nach gut 45 Minuten den Reigen balladesk rockend. Es darf die Nachbarin oder die eigene Frau eng umarmt werden. Feuerzeuge an, Whiskeyflaschen hoch. Jeder wie er es romantisch mag. Der Bonustrack auf dem Album ist ein Cover des HAWKWIND-Tracks ‘Silver Machine’. <\/p>\n

Man sollte dieser Truppe live auch die Chance geben und nicht gleich nach Bomber oder Overkill rufen, denn verdient haben sie es allemal. Dies ist ein Album voll nach meinem Geschmack und ich gratuliere zu diesem rauhen, eigenst\u00e4ndigen, rohbeinigen, dreckig rockend und groovenden Classic Rock Deb\u00fctalbum. <\/p>\n
