Als reines Studioprojekt 2016 von Tim Kenefic gegr\u00fcndet, konnte sich die Band DEATH ON FIRE<\/strong> schnell einen Namen in der heimischen Metalszene machen. Mittlerweile hat die Band aus Chicago ihr Deb\u00fct Album WITCH HUNTER <\/strong>am Start. Die acht Songs sind in einer guten halben Stunde \u00fcberstanden.<\/p>\n

Die Basis bildet ein thrashiger Death Metal, der immer wieder mit melodischen Einw\u00fcrfen, sch\u00f6nen Gitarrensoli und abwechslungsreichem Songwriting aufgewertet wird. Die St\u00e4rken sind klar die ruhigen, melodischen Parts und wenn das Tempo gedrosselt wird. Hervorheben will ich stellvertretend YOUR LIES, BETRAYAL und das kurze METH DENTISTRY.<\/p>\n

Womit ich gar nicht klar komme ist der “Gesang”. Auch Growling will gelernt sein. Das ist Wasser auf die M\u00fchlen derer, die behaupten, S\u00e4nger die nicht singen k\u00f6nnen, Growlen oder Schreien dann daf\u00fcr. Aber auch das klappt hier nicht. Klingt wie eine schlechte Mischung aus Hardcore\/Thrash Geschrei, Death Metal Growls und Screams. Besonders bei NEVER SEE YOU AGAIN wirkt sich das aus. Keine Ahnung wieso, aber ich muss st\u00e4ndig an einen Song von Britney Spears<\/em> denken (Nicht dass ich viele kennen w\u00fcrde \ud83d\ude00  ) Das ist nur nervig – und schade zugleich. Auch wenn sich die meisten Songs nicht wirklich abheben k\u00f6nnen, und sich ebenso Wiederholungen einschleichen, so kann ich musikalisch der Deb\u00fctscheibe durchaus einige Momente abgewinnen.<\/p>\n
