Frank Bornemann hat die aufwendige Rockoper “The Vision, The Sword And The Pyre (Part 1)” komponiert und getextet. Nun hat er, auf sehr ambitionierte Weise, das Projekt mit der Band ELOY umgesetzt. Dies ist die mit Abstand aufwendigste Produktion, welche ELOY je umgesetzt hat, und das will ja schon einiges hei\u00dfen.<\/p>\n

Der geneigt H\u00f6rer wird textlich tief in die franz\u00f6sische Geschichte gef\u00fchrt, in die Zeit der Revolution, zum Leben der Jungfrau von Orleans, Jeanne d’Arc. Dabei hat Bornemann sehr gut recherchiert. Er gibt die damaligen Geschehnisse sehr nah an den historischen Fakten wieder.<\/p>\n

Es handelt sich bei dem vorliegenden Werk um ein episch, atmosph\u00e4risches Album. Der H\u00f6rer taucht tief in die dargestellte Welt ein, sowohl klanglich als auch textlich und man verliert sich darin ohne verloren zu gehen. Neben vielen \u00dcberraschungen und ungew\u00f6hnlichen Highlights, erkennt der Fan trotzdem die typischen ELOY.<\/p>\n

Da es sich um ein Konzeptalbum handelt, es in sich eine geschlossene Einheit bildet, m\u00f6chte ich hier keine Anspieltips nennen. Das w\u00fcrde ich als Heraufstufung einzelner St\u00fccke, oder als Herabw\u00fcrdigung anderer Songs sehen, und genau das w\u00fcrde dem Album keinesfslls gerecht. Einfach mal unvoreingenommen reinh\u00f6ren, dahinschmelzen, kaufen, und am besten relaxt daheim h\u00f6ren.<\/p>\n

Mein Fazit: Absolut herausragend!<\/p>\n
