Die Ver\u00f6ffentlichung der Melodic-Metaller MASTERPLAN ist f\u00fcr Bandleader Roland Grapow etwas ganz besonderes, denn mit “PumpKings” begibt sich der Gitarrist auf eine Reise in die Vergangenheit, genauer gesagt in die Zeit, in der Roland als Mitglied von HELLOWEEN Musikgeschichte schrieb und zahlreiche Songs zum gro\u00dfen Verm\u00e4chtnis beitrug. Diese Tracks werden nun vom aktuellen MASTERPLAN Line-Up komplett neu eingespielt.<\/p>\n

Die 11 auf “PumpKings” <\/em>enthaltenen Titel schrieb Grapow zwischen 1990 und 2000. Deren Originalversionen sind auf den Helloween Alben “Pink Bubbles Go Ape”, “Chameleon”, “Master Of The Rings”, “The Time Of The Oath” und “The Dark Ride” enthalten. Einige Tracks wurden dar\u00fcber hinaus auch als Singles ausgekoppelt und rangieren unter den Favoriten zahlreicher Helloween-Fans.<\/p>\n

Nat\u00fcrlich werden sich hier die Geister wieder scheiden. Ist nun die “Neuauflage” der Helloween Songs notwendig? Kann Rick Altzi stimmlich \u00fcberhaupt die Klassiker so darbieten, wie Michael Kiske und\u00a0Andi Deris? Warum nicht ein eigenes Album? Aus meiner Sicht sind diese “Themen v\u00f6llig egal und f\u00fcr mich belanglos. Masterplan kopieren hier nichts, sondern interpretieren es auf ihre und auf neue, musikalisch frische Weise. Es strotzt nur so vor Power und Energie. Altzi`s stimmliche Darbietungen sind perfekt. Rauchig kratzend, kraftvoll, variierend. Hier wurden die “alten Klassiker” ordentlich poliert und in ein neues<\/em> Gewand eingeh\u00fcllt.\u00a0Ich finde das Album klasse. Was nun die Helloween und Masterplan J\u00fcnger dazu sagen, werde ich wohl nicht erfahren. Wem dieses ganze einerlei ist, dem sage ich: genie\u00dfe einfach die Musik!<\/p>\n
