Bullet Height nennt sich eine neue, in Berlin gegr\u00fcndete Formation, bestehend aus Jon Courtney (Pure Reason Revolution) und Sammi Doll (IAMX), die mit \u201eNo Atonement\u201c gerade ihr Debut-Album ver\u00f6ffentlicht hat.<\/p>\n

Herausgekommen ist dabei eine Mischung aus Dark Electronic – und Industrial Rock, die hin und wieder Richtung seichtem Elektro-Pop abdriftet. \u00c4hnlichkeiten mit Pure Reason Revolution sind nicht von der Hand zu weisen.<\/p>\n

Dabei bestechen die Songs durch den Wechselgesang der beiden Musiker sowie den eing\u00e4ngigen Melodien. Das klingt in Ans\u00e4tzen schon ganz gut, allerdings gehen die Tracks soundtechnisch \u00fcberwiegend in die selbse Richtung, so dass ich mir etwas mehr Abwechslung gew\u00fcnscht h\u00e4tte.<\/p>\n

Highlight des Album ist das getragene “Break our hearts down”, dass ich mir von der Melodief\u00fchrung her durchaus auch von Depeche-Mode h\u00e4tte vorstellen k\u00f6nnen. Auch das bereits vorab ver\u00f6ffentlichte “Bastion” empfiehlt sich als Anspiel-Tipp.<\/p>\n

Wer mit der beschriebenen Musikrichtung etwas anfangen kann, sollte ruhig mal ein Ohr riskieren.<\/p>\n
