Hinter EZoo verbirgt sich die neue Combo von Ex-Rainbow-S\u00e4nger Graham Bonnet. Zusammen mit Gitarrist Dario Mollo (Voodoo Hill, Crossbones) und Mitgliedern der Electric Zoo-Band hat Bonnet nunmehr das Debut seiner neuen Band fertiggestellt, dessen Anf\u00e4nge bis ins Jahr 2007 zur\u00fcck reichen.<\/p>\n

Aufgrund verschiedener anderer Projekte, an denen die Musiker zwischenzeitlich beteiligt waren, dauerte es beinahe zehn Jahre, bis das Album vollendet wurde. Herausgekommen ist ein klassisches HardRock-Album,  welches vor allem durch Bonnets beeindruckende Vocals \u2013 der Mann feiert Ende des Jahres immerhin schon sein siebzigstes Wiegenfest – und Mollos exzellente Gitarren-Soli besticht.<\/p>\n

Die Songs wechseln meist zwischen Mid- und Up-Tempo, balladeske Momente sind eher die Ausnahme. Besonders hervorzuheben sind der flotte Opener “You are your money”, die Biker-Hymne “Motorbike” sowie der knapp elfeinhalb-min\u00fctige Titeltrack “Feeding The Beast”, der gekonnt ruhige Passagen und harte Riffs vereint.<\/p>\n

Einziger Kritikpunkt ist die Tatsache, dass man lediglich acht neue St\u00fccke (plus zwei kurze Instrumentals) geboten bekommt. Daf\u00fcr wird das Album mit zwei Neu-Einspielungen von “Eyes of the World” und “Since you been gone” vom 79\u2019er Rainbow-Album “Down to Earth” aufgewertet, die zeigen, das Bonnets Vocals auch knapp vierzig Jahre sp\u00e4ter noch genauso gut klingen.<\/p>\n

F\u00fcr alle Freunde des klassischen Hard Rock ist “Feeding the Beast” definitiv zu empfehlen.<\/p>\n
