<\/p>\n

Dust In Mind aus dem franz\u00f6sischen Stra\u00dfburg gibt es seit 2013 und mit \u201eOblivion\u201c steht nun neben den EP Debut der zweite Longplayer in den L\u00e4den.
\nDie Band versteht sich musikalisch aus einer Mixtur aus Korn, Pain (mit denen es im April auch auf Tour geht) und Katatonia, was meiner Meinung nach den Nagel vollkommen auf den Kopf trifft.<\/p>\n

Besonderheit der Band ist der Vocal-Mix der hauptamtlichen S\u00e4ngerin Jennifer Gervais, gepaart mit Growls von Gitarrist Damien Dausch.
\nWie das Ganze funktioniert zeigt zum Beispiel der Track \u201eLullaby\u201c. Da geht gnadenlose H\u00e4rte mit genialen Melodien Hand in Hand.<\/p>\n

Mit \u201eMrs Epilepsy\u201c zeigen Dust In Mind, dass es auch komplett ohne H\u00e4rte geht; ein Song, haupts\u00e4chlich getragen von Jennifers sanfter Stimme.Danach haut einen der Titelsong aber sehr schnell wieder zur\u00fcck in die rohe, gewaltt\u00e4tige Realit\u00e4t.<\/p>\n

Ich sehe bei Damien nicht selten gesangliche Parallelen zu den \u201ealten\u201c In Flames, die mir pers\u00f6nlich bedeutend mehr gegeben haben, als die Ver\u00f6ffentlichungen der letzten Jahre.
\nSomit bin ich mir durchaus bewusst, dass dieser Vergleich einem Ritterschlag f\u00fcr Dust In Mind gleichkommt.<\/p>\n

Das Level auf \u201eOblivion\u201c ist relativ stabil; lediglich \u201eSpreading Disease\u201c und \u201eBorn To Fight\u201c liegen f\u00fcr mich etwas hinten zur\u00fcck.<\/p>\n

Wer Dust In Mind noch nicht kennt und jetzt neugierig geworden ist dem sei gesagt, dass das neue Album alleine von vier (!!) Videoclips begleitet wird.
