Bevor 1988 das von Megadeth\u2019s Dave Mustaine gepushte Deb\u00fct Refuge Denied ver\u00f6ffentlicht wurde, hatten Sanctury ein paar Songs aufgenommen, die aber damals irgendwo in der Versenkung verschwanden.<\/p>\n

Bedingt durch die Grunge Welle in den 90ern, war das Thema Sanctuary bald Geschichte und S\u00e4nger Warrel Dane widmete sich fortan seinem Projekt Nevermore.<\/p>\n

Erst 2011 kamen die alten Bandkollegen wieder zusammen und spielten ein paar Festivals.<\/p>\n

Irgendwann durchst\u00f6berte Gitarrist Lenny Rutledge seinen Dachboden und entdeckte in einer Kiste alte Demos, die er vollkommen vergessen hatte.
\nDiese Demos waren das erste, was Sanctuary aufgenommen hatten.<\/p>\n

Durch unsachgem\u00e4\u00dfe Lagerung waren diese Aufnahmen eigentlich vollkommen zerst\u00f6rt; aber Chris Harris (Queensryche, Hatebreed) machte das Unm\u00f6gliche m\u00f6glich und konnte die Aufnahmen wiederherstellen.<\/p>\n

Die neuen\/alten Songs \u201cDream Of The Incubus\u201d und \u201cI Am Insane\u201d wurden auf \u201cInception\u201d in die alten \u201eRefuge Denied\u201d eingebettet; das Gesamtwerk klingt wie aus einem Guss.<\/p>\n

\u201eInception\u201c hat wieder eine Menge Bock auf Sanctuary gemacht und ich hoffe, dass dies die Jungs genauso sehen und wir bald ein neues Werk in den H\u00e4nden halten k\u00f6nnen, welches an die glorreichen Gr\u00fcndungsjahre ankn\u00fcpft.
