Wo High on Fire<\/strong> draufsteht, ist High on Fire<\/strong> drin. Die Band um Sleep-Gitarrist Matt Pike ist auf ihre ureigene Art und Weise sicherlich eine der animalisch-brutalsten Bands, die es auf dem Planeten gibt. Live ist das Trio eine Offenbarung, auf Platte war, ist und bleibt sie ein sehr z\u00e4hes Steak. Das liegt daran, dass man sich jedweder Melodie konsequent verwehrt. Hier geht’s um zerquetschende Riffs, zerm\u00fcrbendes Trible-Drumming und b\u00f6ses Gebr\u00fcll \u2013 nicht mehr, aber auch nicht weniger. Ich muss f\u00fcr meine Wenigkeit zugeben, dass ich das neue Album der Band, das mittlerweile neunte, nicht mehr wirklich brauche. Vielleicht bin ich nun einfach zu alt f\u00fcr den Schei\u00df, vielleicht habe ich all den Kram schon viel zu oft geh\u00f6rt, vielleicht brauche ich schlicht ein Mindestma\u00df an Melodie.<\/p>\n
