Ich darf also das neue Album der finnischen Sleaze-Rock-Band “The 69 Eyes” besprechen? Hmm, der Name kommt mir bekannt vor. Waren die nicht mal vor Jahren die Vorband auf irgendeinem Konzert das ich besucht habe?<\/p>\n

Also habe ich das Album “Universal Monsters” angeworfen und was soll ich sagen? Es hat mich sofort \u00fcberzeugt und mitgerissen!<\/p>\n

Der Opener “Dolce Vita” legt direkt gut los und in meinem Kopf dr\u00e4ngten sich sofort Quervergleiche zu den Landsleuten von HIM auf. Die tiefe Stimme von Jyrki 69, die Betonung auf die groovenden Basslinien von Archzie, die Piano-Linien und das Songwriting erinnern mich schon stark an Ville Valo und seiner Truppe, jedoch ohne den ganzen Pathos und den dick aufgetragenen Kitsch.<\/p>\n

Klar, den Innovationspreis gewinnt die Band mit dieser Mucke nicht, aber die Songs gehen gut ins Ohr und der Fu\u00df wippt quasi automatisch mit. Ausf\u00e4lle gibt es auf der Scheibe eigentlich keine, so dass ich eine uneingeschr\u00e4nkte Empfehlung f\u00fcr Fans dieses Genres abgeben kann. Der Sound funktioniert beim Lesen, beim Kochen, im Bad, im Auto, auf dem Konzert, in der Disco, auf ner Party…. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Fazit: Wem HIM zu schw\u00fclstig sind, der wird mit The 69 Eyes vielleicht eine gut rockende unpl\u00fcschige Alternative bekommen.<\/p>\n
