Einen Mix aus Stoner, Sludge, Grunge und Noise spielen Disastroid<\/strong> nach eigenen Angaben \u2013 und das kommt gewisserma\u00dfen auch hin, finden sich doch Zutaten aller genannter Stilrichtungen im Sound der Band aus San Francisco wieder. Tats\u00e4chlich ruft das Album bei mir eher eine deprimierende Stimmung hervor, die mich an den Alternative Metal der Neunziger erinnert. Insbesondere die teils unertr\u00e4glich wehleidigen Vocals lassen mich an eine heillose Mischung aus Korn (ohne Sprechgesang) und Alice in Chains denken. \u00c4hnliches gilt f\u00fcr die meiste doch recht stumpfen Riffs, die mit ihren \u00fcbertrieben piepsigen \u00dcbert\u00f6nen bei mir nichts anderes als Ablehnung verursachen. Nicht falsch verstehen: Leuten, die schlechte Laune zelebrieren, k\u00f6nnte “Garden Creatures<\/strong>” durchaus gefallen. Ich kann leider nichts damit anfangen.<\/p>\n
