Erfunden wurde Doom Metal in Finnland zwar nicht, aber zuhause ist er dort. Nicht nur wegen Reverend Bizarre, der K\u00f6nige des gesamten Genres, sondern auch wegen fantastischer Bands wie Spiritus Mortis oder eben Wizards of Hazards<\/strong>. Letztere haben drei Jahrzehnte nach ihrer Gr\u00fcndung damit angefangen haben, so richtig produktiv zu werden: Auf die Deb\u00fct-EP “Blind Leads the Blead<\/a><\/strong>“, 2020 ver\u00f6ffentlicht, 31 Jahre nach Bandgr\u00fcndung also, folgte noch im selben Jahr die Deb\u00fct-LP “End of Time<\/a><\/strong>“, 2021 dann eine weitere EP und vor gut einem Jahr das hier vorliegende “Supernatural<\/strong>“.<\/p>\n

Ohne weiter um den verdammt hei\u00dfen Brei herum zu reden: Was wir hier zu h\u00f6ren bekommen, ist Traditional Doom Metal, wie man ihn besser kaum spielen, wie er besser kaum klingen kann. “Supernatural”<\/strong> ist ein Rausch aus brillanten Riffs, umwerfenden Basslines, herrlichen Over-the-Top-Vocals und unwiderstehlichem Drumming \u2013 <\/span>inklusive Snaredrum-Sound zum Niederknien. Dass Wizards of Hazards<\/strong> hier nichts falsch machen, w\u00e4re eine ma\u00dflose Untertreibung. Was sie richtig machen k\u00f6nnen, das machen sie richtig \u2013 abgesehen von dem doch reichlich seltsamen Gitarrensolo in \u201cMoonpowers\u201d, das wohl nur existiert, damit ich hier nicht die H\u00f6chstwertung ziehe.<\/p>\n
