Witchorious<\/strong> kommen aus Paris und ver\u00f6ffentlichen mit ihrem nach der Band benannten Deb\u00fctalbum einen durchaus beachtlichen Beitrag zum Stoner-Doom-Genere. Hei\u00dft konkret: Die Band schreibt sehr solide Songs, verf\u00fcgt mit Gitarrist Antoine<\/em> und Bassistin Lucie<\/em> \u00fcber gleich zwei sehr f\u00e4hige Vokalisten, wobei ich von Lucie<\/em> gern mehr h\u00f6ren w\u00fcrde. Aauch Drummer Paul<\/em> findet mit interessanten Figuren mein Geh\u00f6r, obwohl er f\u00fcr meinen Geschmack ein bisschen zu sehr am Crash-Becken klebt. Generell ist aber zu sagen: Was das Trio spielt, das ist deutlich \u00fcberdurchschnittlich.<\/p>\n

Eines fehlt Witchorious<\/strong> aber: ein Sound, der zur Musik passt. Das Album ist eiskalt, ultra-steril produziert, die steinharte Snaredrum ist \u00fcberhaupt nicht mein Ding \u2013 und all das tr\u00fcbt beeintr\u00e4chtigt mein H\u00f6rvergn\u00fcgen leider sehr. Man muss sich als Stoner-Doom-Band ja keinen Lofi-Sound a la Uncle Acid verpassen, ein bisschen w\u00e4rmer, ein bisschen organischer sollte es aber schon sein. Schade, hier w\u00e4ren vorneweg 8 Punkte drin gewesen, aber bei diesem Sound kann ich mich zu mehr als 6 von 10 Hellfire-Punkten<\/strong> nicht hinrei\u00dfen.<\/p>\n
