Animatone<\/strong> ist das \u201cLove Child\u201d zweier Freunde aus Ungarn, Zolt\u00e1n Sz\u00e9csi<\/em> und Bern\u00e1t Kiss<\/em>, beide Konservatoriumsabsolventen in Jazzgitarre. Und dass die beiden Gitarre spielen k\u00f6nnen, das h\u00f6rt man zu jeder Sekunde der 19 Minuten, die \u201cSoul Moments<\/strong>\u201d, die zweite EP des Duos, dauert. Die T\u00f6ne, die die Jungs ihren \u00c4xten, \u00fcbrigens nicht nur elektrischen \u00c4xten, entlocken, sind wirklich h\u00f6chst filigran und deshalb \u00fcberaus h\u00f6renswert. Die Gitarren stehen bei den vier St\u00fccken auch voll und ganz im Mittelpunkt: Vocals gibt es keine, sie w\u00e4ren ohnehin nur st\u00f6rend. Untermalt sind die Gitarrenduelle von elektronischen Beats \u2013 und die sind mal gut, manchmal gefallen sie mir jedoch weniger.<\/p>\n

Gut sind sie immer dann, wenn sie nichts anderes als elektronische Beats sein wollen, was in den zahlreichen ruhigen Momenten, in denen man sich wundersch\u00f6n verlieren kann, der Fall ist. Weniger gut gefallen sie mir, wenn sie \u201cechtes\u201d Schlagzeugspiel imitieren sollen, was in den lauteren Momenten der Fall ist. Hierf\u00fcr w\u00fcrde ich den Jungs ehrlich gesagt einen menschlichen Drummer w\u00fcnschen. Das w\u00fcrde den wirklich interessanten, innovativen Ansatz von Animatone<\/strong>, eine Art gef\u00fchlvollen, elektronischen Jazz Metal, in noch bek\u00f6mmlichere Musik verwandeln. Spa\u00df macht \u201cSoul Moments<\/strong>\u201d aber auch so.<\/p>\n
