Erste Feststellung zum dritten Album von Thronehammer<\/strong>: Unter 70 Minuten macht es das englisch-deutsche Quintett um Kat Shevil Gilham<\/em> einfach nicht. Stattliche 74 Minuten epischen Doom Metal bekommt man auf “Kingslayer<\/strong>” zu h\u00f6ren.<\/p>\n

Zweite Feststellung: “Kingslayer<\/strong>” wirkt auf mich ein bisschen wie ein glatt geb\u00fcgeltes Konsensprodukt. Falsch l\u00e4uft hier absolut gar nichts. Aber was l\u00e4uft hier wirklich richtig? Der Sound ist flach, aber nicht zu flach. Die Songs sind lang, aber nicht zu lang. Die Melodien sind gef\u00e4llig, aber nicht ergeifend.<\/p>\n

Dritte und letzte Feststellung: “Kingslayer<\/strong>” ist mir einfach eine Spur zu professionell geraten. Es wirkt eher wie das Produkt eines Produzenten, der mit einer Band arbeitet, als das Produkt einer Band, die mit einem Produzenten arbeitet.<\/p>\n

Fazit: “Kinglayer<\/strong>” klingt so x-beliebig, als w\u00e4re es auf dem Massen-Metal-Label Nuclear Blast erschienen. Wer urw\u00fcchsigen, ehrlichen, emotionalen Epic Doom h\u00f6ren will, ist mit dem diesj\u00e4hrigen Deb\u00fctalbum von Nine Altars, einer anderen Band von Kat Shevil Gilham<\/em>, deutlich besser bedient.<\/p>\n
