Appalooza<\/strong> strotzen auf ihrem dritten Album geradezu vor Selbstvertrauen: Mit brutal fetter Produktion und sehr beachtlichen instrumentalen F\u00e4higkeiten ballert sich das bretonische Trio durch acht Songs, dass einem fast schon schwindelig wird \u2013 so dynamisch sind die Jungs unterwegs.<\/p>\n

Besonders bemerkenswert: Bei einer durchschnittlichen Song-L\u00e4nge von mehr als f\u00fcnf Minuten verschwenden Appalooza<\/strong> keine einzige Sekunde: Die Breaks kommen gef\u00fchlt schneller, als Terence Hill seine Knarre zieht \u2013 und heftiger als eine Backpfeife von Bud Spencer.<\/p>\n

Wer auf fette Riffs steht, auf fast schon gewaltt\u00e4tiges Schlagzeugspiel (nicht un\u00e4hnlich dem des legend\u00e4ren Ex-High-on-Fire-Drummers Des Kensel), auf Vocals im Sinne von Alice in Chains, der erh\u00e4lt auf \u201cThe Shining Son<\/strong>\u201d Vollbedienung, absolute Vollbedienung.<\/p>\n

Mich st\u00f6rt eigentlich nur eines: Die Produktion ist mir dann doch eine Spur zu gro\u00df, zu spektakul\u00e4r. Nichtsdestoweniger ist \u201cThe Shining Son<\/strong>\u201d ein schwer unterhaltsames St\u00fcck Musik, f\u00fcr das es von mir 8 von 10 Hellfire-Punkten<\/strong> gibt.<\/p>\n
