Tideless<\/strong> machen gute Musik, sind tolle Instrumentalisten, die Band hat ohne Zweifel hohe Anspr\u00fcche an sich selbst, und sie erf\u00fcllt diese \u2013 aber mich \u00fcberfordert die Formation aus San Diego mit ihrem durchaus kompatiblen Gemisch aus Doom und Post Metal, flirrenden Black-Metal-Riffs und abgrundtiefen Death-Growls dann doch.<\/p>\n

Hei\u00dft konkret: Wenn ich mir “Fields at Dawn” (15 Minuten) oder den Rausschmei\u00dfer “Lush.Serene.Dissolved” (24 Minuten) isoliert anh\u00f6re, oder auch jeden anderen Song, dann kann ich damit schon was anfangen. Aber ein 75-min\u00fctiges Wechselbad aus Blastbeat-Gewittern und ambient-artigen Teilen, stimmungsm\u00e4\u00dfig konstant unter null? Sorry, das schaffe ich einfach nicht!<\/p>\n

Ich bin mir sicher: Es gibt Leute, die werden “Eye of Water<\/strong>” so hart abfeiern, wie ich es gerne abfeiern w\u00fcrde. Und wer feiert, der hat meiner Meinung nach generell gewonnen. Ich muss mich in Anbetracht dieses zwar monumentalen, f\u00fcr mich aber leider nicht erschlie\u00dfbaren Werks wohl einfach als Verlierer begreifen.<\/p>\n
