Riffs, Riffs, Riffs, eing\u00e4ngiger Gesang, knallige Drums und nochmal Riffs, Riffs, Riffs \u2014 so kann man das dritte Album von Moon Coven<\/strong> zusammenfassen. Und viel mehr brauche ich pers\u00f6nlich zum musikalischen Wohlf\u00fchl-Erlebnis auch nicht.<\/p>\n

Mit “Wicked Words in Gold They Wrote” geht es ziemlich gef\u00e4llig los; und mit “Seeing Stone” noch ein bisschen gef\u00e4lliger weiter. Ja, ich mag es, wenn ein Album mit einem guten Song beginnt, letztendlich ist das ein absolutes Muss. Aber noch mehr mag ich es, wenn man beim zweiten Song merkt, dass die Band ihr bestes Pulver nicht schon beim ersten Song verballert hat. Genau das ist hier der Fall.<\/p>\n

Und wer jetzt denkt, der mitunter gew\u00f6hnliche Qualit\u00e4tsabfall stellt sich beim dritten, vierten oder f\u00fcnften Song ein, sieht sich get\u00e4uscht. Moon Coven<\/strong> denken gar nicht daran, uns hier mit irgendwelchem F\u00fcllmaterial zu bedienen. Stattdessen ist “Sun King<\/strong>” eines dieser “All Killer, No Filler”-Alben.<\/p>\n

Einen kleinen Vorwurf kann man der Band aber trotzdem machen: Die Songs, so gut sie sind, f\u00fchlen sich alle etwas gleichartig an. Bei mehr Varianz w\u00e4ren hier noch mehr Punkte drin gewesen. So sind’s trotzdem 8 von 10 Hellfire-Punkten<\/strong> \u2014 weil “Sun King<\/strong>” letztendlich einfach Spa\u00df macht.<\/p>\n
