Die Franzosen um BLACKBEARD ver\u00f6ffentlichten vor gut anderthalb Jahren ihr Album “New Horizon<\/em>“, dass mit vielf\u00e4ltigen Einfl\u00fcssen von Stoner, Progressive Rock, Metal, aber auch Elektronik, Groove, Punk energiegeladen um die Ecke kommt. Meine Rezension f\u00e4llt heute mal etwas anders geschrieben aus, geb\u00fcndelt statt Einzelauflistung, aber trotzdem habe ich mir nat\u00fcrlich jeden Song intensiv und f\u00fcr sich angeh\u00f6rt.<\/p>\n

Egal, ob angefangen beim Opener “Vultures<\/strong>“, der mich mit seinem schneidend feinen Gitarrenspiel und der Geradlinigkeit einf\u00e4ngt, \u00fcber “Helpless<\/strong>“, der anf\u00e4nglich etwas braucht, leicht orientalisch h\u00f6rendes vermittelt und immer wieder explodiert oder “Another Face<\/strong>“, der feinst schwebende Melodieb\u00f6gen mit h\u00e4rteren Bandagen pr\u00e4sentiert bis hin zu “Sorry<\/strong>” und “New Horizon<\/strong>“, wo erster von beiden nachdenklich bedr\u00fcckt, aber immer mit der Portion Kraft, der Portion Vertr\u00e4umtheit mich erreicht und kurz nach der Mitte bis hin zum Zieleinlauf grandios explodiert, zweiter verbindet all das vorher geh\u00f6rte noch einmal eindrucksvoll athletisch geb\u00fcndelt, wobei dem Ende n\u00e4her kommend, es mir etwas zu schr\u00e4g und wirr wird, aber es sei ihm geg\u00f6nnt.<\/p>\n

Vokalistisch bewegt man sich hier in der Gesamtheit zwischen cleanen und schmerzerf\u00fcllt stimmlichen, spielerisch zwischen Wut, Betr\u00fcbtheit, Gedankenlosigkeit und ich bin froh, diese klangliche Perle neu f\u00fcr mich entdeckt zu haben. Von mir gibt es 8,5 von 10 Hellfire-Punkten.<\/strong><\/p>\n
