Zwei Fakten \u00fcber Gozu<\/strong>: 1. W\u00fcrde man ein Ranking der Bands mit dem fettesten Sound machen, geh\u00f6rten Gozu<\/strong> zu den Topfavoriten. 2. So sehr wie AC\/DC AC\/DC<\/em> sind, so sehr sind Gozu<\/strong> Gozu<\/em>. Man erkennt die Band also sofort. Und man wei\u00df genau, was man bekommt. Wer noch nicht we\u00df, was man von Gozu<\/strong> bekommt: eine derart fette Produktion, dass man sozusagen vor lauter Fuzz kaum die Gitarren h\u00f6rt, dazu dieses hochdynamische Schlagzeugspiel von Arschversohler Barry Spillberg<\/em>, und nicht zuletzt der Gesang von Marc Gaffney<\/em>, nach dessen charakteristischer Stimme sich 99 Prozent aller Stoner-Bands vermutlich die Finger lecken.<\/p>\n

Das gro\u00dfe Markenzeichen der Band, der \u00dcber-Fuzz, ist f\u00fcr meine Ohren aber auch ein bisschen Problem. Denn der Fuzz ist einfach so omnipr\u00e4sent, dass er das durchaus nuancierte Songwriting doch etwas unter sich begr\u00e4bt.  Zwar kann ich meistens gar nicht genug Fuzz bekommen, wenn ich ein Album von Gozu<\/strong> starte und den ersten Song h\u00f6re \u2013 denn damit startet der Hei\u00dfhunger auf Fuzz! Zum Ende des Albums f\u00fchle ich mich dann aber eben auch ziemlich \u00fcberfressen. So auch bei \u201cRemedy\u201d.<\/p>\n
