Veilcaste<\/strong> hie\u00dfen im letzten Jahrzehnt noch Conjurer und legen deshalb mit \u201cPrecipice<\/strong>\u201d nicht wirklich ihr Deb\u00fct vor, sondern ihr drittes Album. Stilistisch ist im Prinzip alles beim Alten geblieben \u2013 und damit auch gr\u00f6\u00dftenteils beim Guten.<\/p>\n

Hei\u00dft konkret: Die Band spielt nach wie vor eine recht eing\u00e4ngige Mischung aus Sludge und Doom Metal. Recht eing\u00e4ngig deshalb: Die Vocals sind eher halb-guttural als so richtig rausgekotzt, dazu gibt\u2019s durchaus melodische Leadgitarren und einen Sound, der nicht aus allen Ecken und Enden berstet, sondern einen, der noch richtig sch\u00f6n atmen kann. So hab ich das gern.<\/p>\n

Was ich auch gern h\u00e4tte Wenn Veilcaste<\/strong> nicht so derart midtempo-versessen w\u00e4re. Man kann das Tempo doch auch mal ganz rausnehmen. Oder auch mal Vollgas geben. Beides findet auf \u201cPrecipice<\/strong>\u201d \u00fcberhaupt nicht statt \u2013 womit ich der Scheibe doch einen gewissen Mangel an Abwechslung attestieren muss. Schade eigentlich. Denn gute Songs schreiben Veilcaste<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
