Viereinhalb Jahre nach dem tollen “Excalibur” liefern die Epic-Doomer von Iron Void<\/strong> aus Yorkshire nun endlich den Nachfolger ab. “IV<\/strong>” hei\u00dft der und steht mit seinem Titel sowohl f\u00fcr das vierte Album der Band als auch f\u00fcr die Initialen ihres Namens. Inhaltlich markiert “IV<\/strong>” eine deutliche Entwicklung verglichen mit dem Vorg\u00e4nger. War der soundm\u00e4\u00dfig noch von einer Proberaum-\u00c4sthetik gepr\u00e4gt, klingt das neue Album nach professionellem Studio. Vor allem klingt es sehr viel fetter, druckvoller, cleaner. Damit kommt ihm zwar der schrullige Charme des Vorg\u00e4ngers abhanden. Da sich aber auch in Sachen Songwriting einiges getan hat, ergibt der neue Sound durchaus Sinn. Hei\u00dft konkret: Die neuen Songs sind weniger verspielt, daf\u00fcr aber noch eing\u00e4ngiger. Fette Riffs und verf\u00e4ngliche Gesangslinien \u2013 das ist im Prinzip das Konzept. Und das Konzept geht auf. Dazu leistet die wirklich bemerkenswerte Rhythmus-Sektion geradezu b\u00e4renstarken Anschub. Kurzum: “IV<\/strong>” ist eines der Alben, die quasi auf Knopfdruck genau das tun, was sie sollen. Nicht mehr und nicht weniger.<\/p>\n
