Kanadas legend\u00e4re Punk ‘n’ Roller The Black Halos<\/strong> haben gerade ihre erwartete neue LP How the Darkness Doubled<\/strong> ver\u00f6ffentlicht (25. November bei Stomp Records). How the Darkness doubled<\/strong> ist das inoffizielle Nachfolgealbum zu The Violent Years<\/strong>, der gefeierten Ver\u00f6ffentlichung von The Black Halos<\/strong> aus dem Jahr 2001. Das urspr\u00fcngliche Songwriter-Team Billy Hopeless, Rich Jones (Gitarrist bei Michael Monroe, Ginger Wildheart, AMEN) und Jay Millette haben sich wieder vereint und die neuen Mitglieder John Kerns (The Age Of Electric) und Danni Action (ACIIDZ) ins Boot geholt. Das in Toronto aufgenommene und von Dave Draper (The Wildhearts, The Professionals) gemischte Album ist eine R\u00fcckkehr um die Band zu formen. Gitarrist Rich Jones erkl\u00e4rt: \u201eDie Wiedervereinigung mit Billy und Jay f\u00fcr dieses neue Album brachte meinen Fokus zur\u00fcck auf das Schreiben mit einer Denkweise, welche die reine, kompromisslose Halos war \u2013 soweit es mich betrifft, haben wir es wirklich erreicht. Mit unseren Freunden John und Danni an Bord f\u00fchlt sich das wie das st\u00e4rkste Line-up an, das wir je hatten, und das kann man auf dieser Platte wirklich h\u00f6ren. Au\u00dferdem hatten Billy und ich immer geplant, das dritte Album How The Darkness Doubled zu nennen. Daher lag es nahe, diesen Titel jetzt, 20 Jahre sp\u00e4ter, f\u00fcr etwas zu verwenden, das ich als spirituelle Fortsetzung von The Violent Years betrachte.<\/em>\u201c Nach ausgelassenen Shows im Bovine w\u00e4hrend der Canadian Music Week in Toronto und zwei ausverkauften N\u00e4chten im Rickshaw Theatre in ihrer Heimatstadt Vancouver ist die Band bereit, eine neue Generation von Rock ‘n’ Roll-Fans f\u00fcr sich zu gewinnen ihr brandneues Album How the Darkness Doubled.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"de\"><span class=\"jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\"><strong>The Black Halos<\/strong> waren daf\u00fcr bekannt, unerm\u00fcdliche Stra\u00dfenk\u00e4mpfer zu sein, die in Clubs vor einem st\u00e4ndig wachsenden Publikum spielten, als sie in einem Van (eigentlich einer Serie von neun Vans) auf Festivals wie Warped Tour, Edgefest, SXSW, CMJ kreuz und quer durch Nordamerika fuhren und zu den The Kerrang Awards in Gro\u00dfbritannien. Es folgten Besetzungswechsel, als die Band zwei weitere Alben bei Century Media ver\u00f6ffentlichte und ausgiebig durch Kanada, die Vereinigten Staaten und Europa tourte, bevor zu Beginn 2008 ihre Tour ein abruptes Ende fand, als ihr Van, Trailer und Equipment in Montreal gestohlen wurden. Mit ihrer neuesten Ver\u00f6ffentlichung \u201e<strong>How the Darkness Doubled<\/strong>\u201c werden <strong>The Black Halos<\/strong> wieder auf Tour gehen und Tourneen durch Nordamerika und Europa planen, die f\u00fcr 2023 und dar\u00fcber hinaus geplant sind.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"de\"><span class=\"jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Die Band wurde 1994 im Schatten der Punkmusikszene von Vancouver gegr\u00fcndet und war ein h\u00f6hnischer, rotziger Schlag ins Gesicht der Grunge-Szene von Seattle. Ihre rauen Live-Shows, insbesondere ein elektrisierender Auftritt im Rock Candy in Seattle, erregten die Aufmerksamkeit von Jonathan Poneman von Sub Pop, und sie unterschrieben prompt beim Sub Pop-Imprint Die Young Stay Pretty. Sie begannen unerm\u00fcdlich mit ihren Labelkollegen The Murder City Devils zu touren und teilten bald die B\u00fchnen mit gro\u00dfen Namen wie The Damned, DOA, L7, The Offspring, Social Distortion und vielen mehr.
