DEATH REICH stammen aus Uddevalla, einer Provinz namens V\u00e4stra G\u00f6talands l\u00e4n, die im Westen Schwedens liegt. Das Quintett ist fast schon noch jungfr\u00e4ulich, denn erst vor vier Jahren gr\u00fcndeten sie sich und es erschienen bis zum heutigen Tage zwei Single und eine EP. Dies \u00e4ndert sich mit “The Final Plague<\/em>” in etwas \u00fcber einer Woche und so ist der Gleichstand wieder hergestellt. 2:2!<\/p>\n

Er\u00f6ffnet wird mit “The Final Plague<\/strong>“, der ohne Gepl\u00e4nkel und Vorspiel gleich geradlinig zur todesmetallischen Sache kommt. Der Song fegt alles infernal weg, also nehmt zur Sicherheit f\u00fcr euer Toupet Alleskleber. Im \u00dcbrigen ist der Song unten als Video zu finden, aber es sei gesagt, das der Sound auf der EP um L\u00e4ngen fetter und wuchtiger ist, also nicht t\u00e4uschen lassen.<\/p>\n

“The Creator<\/strong>” ist rhythmisch recht “abgehackt” mit gelegentlichen Blastbeats, zeigt aber R\u00fcckgrat in seiner Geradlinigkeit und ein 6-saitiges Solo schleicht sich in meine Ohren. “Disgrace<\/strong>” kennt keine Gnade, ist frontal, schl\u00e4gt einem immer wieder ins Gesicht und wird in der Mitte und am Ende episch. Sehr stark und mein pers\u00f6nlicher Favorit!<\/p>\n

“The Night Will Fall<\/strong>” geht mit Double-Bass Momenten seinen schweren und schwebenden Weg und Johnny Lehto<\/em> ist gesanglich nicht nur hier als Berserker unterwegs. Last but not least haben wir eine Coverversion oder Interpretation von Entombed, n\u00e4mlich “Eyemaster<\/strong>“. Dieser stammt bekannterma\u00dfen vom 1993 Album “Wolverine Blues<\/em>” der Landsm\u00e4nner, was in der Vita das Dritte war. Der Song kommt aufgefrischt und aggressiver daher und beide Songs haben f\u00fcr mich ohne Wenn und Aber ihre Daseinsberechtigung, denn wir reden hier von fast drei\u00dfig Jahren Unterschied.<\/p>\n

Fazit:<\/strong> Das hat h\u00f6rend verdammt viel Spa\u00df bereitet und hoffentlich muss ich nicht zu lange auf das Deb\u00fctalbum warten!<\/p>\n

DEATH REICH kommer fr\u00e5n Uddevalla, en provins som heter V\u00e4stra G\u00f6talands l\u00e4n, som ligger i v\u00e4stra Sverige. Kvintetten \u00e4r n\u00e4stan jungfrulig, eftersom de bildades f\u00f6r fyra \u00e5r sedan och har sl\u00e4ppt tv\u00e5 singlar och en EP hittills. Detta \u00e4ndras med “The Final Plague<\/em>” om drygt en vecka och d\u00e4rmed \u00e4r det oavgjort igen. 2:2!<\/p>\n

Bandet \u00f6ppnar med “The Final Plague<\/strong>“, som g\u00e5r rakt in i death metal-verksamheten utan n\u00e5got snack eller f\u00f6rspel. L\u00e5ten sopar bort allting p\u00e5 ett infernaliskt s\u00e4tt, s\u00e5 ta med lite lim f\u00f6r din toup\u00e9 f\u00f6r att vara p\u00e5 den s\u00e4kra sidan. L\u00e5ten finns f\u00f6rresten som video nedan, men det ska s\u00e4gas att ljudet p\u00e5 EP:n \u00e4r mycket fetare och kraftfullare, s\u00e5 l\u00e5t dig inte luras.<\/p>\n

“The Creator<\/strong>” \u00e4r rytmiskt ganska “hackig”, med enstaka blast beat, men visar ryggrad i sin rakhet och ett 6-str\u00e4ngigt solo smyger sig in i mina \u00f6ron. “Disgrace<\/strong>” k\u00e4nner ingen n\u00e5d, \u00e4r frontal, sl\u00e5r dig i ansiktet om och om igen och blir episk i mitten och i slutet. Mycket stark och min personliga favorit!<\/p>\n

“The Night Will Fall<\/strong>” g\u00e5r sin tunga och sv\u00e4vande v\u00e4g med dubbelbasmoment och Johnny Lehto \u00e4r vokalt en berserker inte bara h\u00e4r. Sist men inte minst har vi en coverversion eller tolkning av Entombed, n\u00e4mligen “Eyemaster<\/strong>“. Den h\u00e4r \u00e4r k\u00e4nd f\u00f6r att vara fr\u00e5n landsm\u00e4nnens album “Wolverine Blues<\/em>” fr\u00e5n 1993, som var det tredje albumet i serien. L\u00e5ten framst\u00e5r som uppfr\u00e4schad och mer aggressiv och b\u00e5da l\u00e5tarna har sin r\u00e4tt att existera f\u00f6r mig utan om och men, eftersom vi talar om en skillnad p\u00e5 n\u00e4stan trettio \u00e5r.<\/p>\n

Slutsats:<\/strong> Det h\u00e4r var j\u00e4vligt roligt att lyssna p\u00e5 och f\u00f6rhoppningsvis beh\u00f6ver jag inte v\u00e4nta alltf\u00f6r l\u00e4nge p\u00e5 debutalbumet!<\/p>\n

This changes with “The Final Plague<\/em>” in a little over a week and so the tie is restored. 2:2!<\/p>\n

The Band opens with “The Final Plague<\/strong>“, which gets straight down to the death metal business without any banter or prelude. The song sweeps everything away infernally, so take some all-glue for your toupee to be on the safe side. By the way, the song can be found below as a video, but it should be said that the sound on the EP is much fatter and more powerful, so don’t be fooled.<\/p>\n

“The Creator<\/strong>” is rhythmically quite “choppy” with occasional blast beats, but shows backbone in its straightforwardness and a 6-string solo creeps into my ears. “Disgrace<\/strong>” knows no mercy, is frontal, slaps you in the face again and again and becomes epic in the middle and at the end. Very strong and my personal favourite!<\/p>\n

“The Night Will Fall<\/strong>” goes its heavy and soaring way with double bass moments and Johnny Lehto is vocally a berserker not only here. Last but not least we have a cover version or interpretation of Entombed, namely “Eyemaster<\/strong>“. This one is known to be from the countrymen’s 1993 album “Wolverine Blues<\/em>“, which was the third in the vita. The song comes along refreshed and more aggressive and both songs have their right to exist for me without ifs and buts, because we are talking about almost thirty years difference.<\/p>\n

Conclusion:<\/strong> This was a hell of a lot of fun to listen to and hopefully I won’t have to wait too long for the debut album!<\/p>\n

I give it 8,5 out of 10 Hellfire Points<\/strong><\/p>\n
