Seit fast vierzig Jahren sind die hessischen Thrasher um TANKARD aktiv und ich erinnere mich noch schwerlich, aber ich erinnere mich an das in meiner Jugend ver\u00f6ffentlichte Deb\u00fctalbum “Zombie Attack<\/em>” aus dem Jahre 1986. Nun sind wie vorher schon erw\u00e4hnt die entsprechenden Jahre vorbei gezogen und fast noch aktuell liegt mir das neue Werk “Pavlov’s Dawgs<\/em>” vor, was Ende September 2022 erschien.<\/p>\n

Die Jahre sind ins Land gezogen und Gerres Stimme ist anders geworden (auf “One Foot in the Grave<\/em>” schon), tiefer und eben anders und so er\u00f6ffnet noch mit akustischer Stille das gleichnamige “Pavlov’s Dawg<\/strong>“, formt sich zu einem zusammen und geht verdammt cool und geradlinig, genau nach meinem Geschmack, seinen Weg. “Ex-Fluencer<\/strong>” geht im mittlerem Tempo vorw\u00e4rts und sorgt f\u00fcr gediegen altersgerechte Nackenbewegungen, “Beerbarians<\/strong>” stampft im rhythmischen ohne gro\u00dfe Abbiegungen auf und Andy Gutjahr gibt sein K\u00f6nnen an der 6-Saiter endend zum besten.<\/p>\n

“Veins of Terra<\/strong>” beinhaltet textlich die Umwelt (…u.a. habt ihr schon Aqua-Aktien gekauft? Manche sagen, sie sind super trendy<\/em>…)….hm n\u00f6`? Textlich ist es f\u00fcr mich nicht die Offenbarung, eher plakativ und wir k\u00f6nnen jetzt auch anders als nur Beer besingen? Musikalisch ist der Song okay, aber Schuster bleib doch bitte bei deinen Leisten!<\/p>\n

“Diary of a Nihilist<\/strong>” und “Memento<\/strong>” sind im teutonischen Stahl geschmiedet, wobei zweiter noch eine Weile l\u00e4nger im entsprechenden Bad war, cool! “Metal Cash Machine<\/strong>” fegt sch\u00f6n \u00fcber das Haupthaar und bl\u00e4st mir ordentlich ins Gesicht, gepaart mit feinen Melodieb\u00f6gen, “Dark Self Intruder<\/strong>” gibt anf\u00e4nglich der Ruhe ihre B\u00fchne, kommt aus sich heraus und das ganz zu meinem Gefallen. Noch angetan vom Vorg\u00e4nger, ballert mir “Lockdown Forever<\/strong>” in sch\u00f6ner und durchgehender Manier das Toupet vom Sch\u00e4del, w\u00e4hrend der Abschluss mit “On the Day I Die<\/strong>” gem\u00e4chlich beginnt, der Song sich bis zum Ende hin kraftvoll steigert und eine nachdenklich sch\u00f6ne textliche Hommage an das Leben, den R\u00fcckblick kurz vor dem Tode beinhaltet. (..An dem Tag, an dem ich sterbe, verblassen alle meine Hoffnungen…<\/em>)…<\/p>\n

Trotz des “Gemecker” im oberen Bereich, wird das Album physisch meiner Sammlung hinzugef\u00fcgt, jawohl!<\/p>\n

Fazit: <\/strong>Der hessische Promille-Thrash macht immer noch Spa\u00df, auch wenn ich den f\u00fcnften etwas “kritisiert” habe!<\/p>\n
