Drau\u00dfen herrlicher Sonnenschein, doch Vanir zieht mich in ganz andere Sph\u00e4ren. Raise the horns, lasst den Met str\u00f6men und auf durch die nordische Mythologie. Mit jedem Song entstehen Bilder dieser Zeit in meinem Kopf und ich f\u00fchle mich gerade mittendrin, ob auf einem Wikingerschiff auf offener See oder einer Siegesfeier in Valhalla.<\/p>\n

Amon Amarth war bisher meine Lieblings-Viking-Metalband, aber hier ist Konkurrenz am Start. Meinen Ohren nach pfeift der Wind eine Prise rauer, hervorgehoben durch die todesmetallischen Passagen.<\/p>\n

Asche \u00fcber mein Haupt, dass ich erst mit dem sechsten Album auf die Band aufmerksam wurde bzw. aufmerksam gemacht wurde. Da ist mir doch echt was durch die Lappen gegangen, denn es ist ein Longplayer auf dem alle zw\u00f6lf Tracks Favoritenstatus bei mir haben.<\/p>\n

Das Schlusslicht “Visdomsmj\u00f8den” l\u00e4sst das Album keineswegs ruhig ausklingen, nein ganz im Gegenteil, energiegeladen verleitet es doch sehr, erneut die Playtaste zu bet\u00e4tigen und abermals in die Schlacht zu ziehen.<\/p>\n

Das Cover stammt aus der Feder von Bassist Lars Bundvad und wirkt wie eine Gallionsfigur, die gleichzeitig den Startschuss in dieses metallische H\u00f6rvergn\u00fcgen gibt.<\/p>\n
