Kaum zur\u00fcck beim Hellfire, falle ich direkt in alte Muster und suche meine Rezensionen intuitiv aus. Das f\u00fchrt bei der neuen Black Diamonds direkt zu einer \u00dcberraschung, da “Floor 13” nicht das neue Album der Schweizer ist, sondern ein Sampler, der den Fans die Wartezeit vers\u00fc\u00dfen soll. Dazu haben die Herren einige Live-Mitschnitte, Cover und eine Akustikversuion zusammengew\u00fcrfelt.<\/p>\n

Der Einstieg mit einem Cover von Gary Moores “Out in the Fields” ist clever gew\u00e4hlt, da der Song schlicht eine Bank ist um melodisch und doch kraftvoll den H\u00f6rer abzuholen. F\u00fcr mich immer schwieriger: die folgenden Live-Versionen. Auch hier wieder ein Balanceakt zwischen Tonqualit\u00e4t und Live-Feeling, bei dem hier das Feeling ein wenig zu kurz kommt. Mein Herz gewinnt “Reaching for the Stars”, auch wenn es aus dem Rahmen f\u00e4llt mit seiner ruhigen Art.<\/p>\n

Das diese Platte f\u00fcr Fans ist, wird mit dem letzten Track mehr als deutlich: 8 Minuten lang erz\u00e4hlen Black Diamonds wie ihr letztes Album entstanden ist und lassen uns an den Demos teilhaben. Eher etwas f\u00fcr Fans als den allgemeinen Musikkonsumenten.<\/p>\n

Auch wenn ich die Intension der Jungs verstehe und dies gut umgesetzt wurde, ist Floor 13 hat kein “vollwertiges” Album, daher gibt es von mir<\/p>\n
