“Utgard”<\/em>, das \u00f6stlich gelegene Gebiet in der nordischen Kosmologie, in der nordischen Mythologie das Land der Riesen und Trolle , war vor knapp einem Jahr Schauplatz und Namengeber f\u00fcr das f\u00fcnfzehnte Studioalbum, dem nun fast genau 365 Tage sp\u00e4ter die EP “Caravans To The Outer Worlds<\/em>” folgte.<\/p>\n

Der Opener “Caravans To The Outer Worlds<\/strong>” ist schwarz, angebrannt und progressive unterwegs, spielt sch\u00f6n mit unterschiedlichsten Atmosph\u00e4ren und das Gesang-Gespann, Grutle Kjellson<\/em> f\u00fcr die b\u00f6sartig d\u00e4monischen und H\u00e5kon Vinje<\/em> f\u00fcr die feineren, melodisch cleanen verantwortlich, gibt dem ganzen noch die entsprechende W\u00fcrze.<\/p>\n

“Intermezzo I – L\u00f6nnlig. Gudlig.<\/strong>” und “Intermezzo II – The Navigator<\/strong>” sind die instrumentalen Br\u00fcder auf dieser EP, die mit Klangerlebnissen und wuchtigen Momenten dich auf eine andere entfernte Welt einladen und entf\u00fchren. Zweiter im Bunde geht zus\u00e4tzlich geradeaus und die sch\u00f6nen Orgel\/Keyboardmomente, die dich f\u00fchlend mit auf die Reise nehmen, erlausche ich \u00fcber Headset.<\/p>\n

“Ruun II – The Epitaph<\/strong>” er\u00f6ffnet mit unterschiedlichsten Gitarrent\u00f6nen, dem Zeitstrahl einige Zeit folgend k\u00f6nnte er auch zu der sprachlosen Familie geh\u00f6ren, entscheidet sich dann aber mit feinf\u00fchligem Gesang, sich von jener dieser abzusetzen. Der Song und die Kl\u00e4nge haben f\u00fcr mich was spirituelles und mystisches bzw. so nehme ich sie f\u00fcr mich auf und wenn ich die Augen schlie\u00dfe, reise ich nach selbigem Ort wie die Norweger – nach Utgard, das ehemals den neun Welten angeh\u00f6rte.<\/em><\/p>\n

Fazit:<\/strong> Wenn auch kurz, entf\u00fchrt es in eine f\u00fcr mich magisch nordische Welt, in deren Kosmos!<\/p>\n
