Metalium wurde im August 1998 von Bassist und Produzent Lars Ratz gegr\u00fcndet und ver\u00f6ffentlichten in verschiedenen Besetzungen bis zu Ihrer Aufl\u00f6sung 2010 acht Studioalben sowie zwei Live-DVDs. In letzter Zeit machten immer wieder Ger\u00fcchte \u00fcber eine geplante Reunion der Band die Runde, doch dazu sollte es nicht mehr kommen, denn Lars Ratz kam 18. April dieses Jahres bei einem Unfall mit einem Ultraleichtflieger auf Mallorca ums Leben.<\/p>\n

Mit “Never Surrender” ehren die verbliebenen Bandmitglieder Henning Basse (Gesang), Matthias Lange (Gitarre), Chris Caffery (Gitarre), Tolo Grimalt (Gitarre) und Michael Ehr\u00e9 (Drums) ihren verstorbenen Bandkollegen und Freund. Unterst\u00fctzt wurden sie dabei von Don Airey (Deep Purple), der bereits auf dem dritten Album der Band “HeroNation – Chapter Three” (2002) die Keyboards beisteuerte, und Jens Becker (Grave Digger), einem engen Freund der Band, am Bass.<\/p>\n

Der Track ist die erste Zusammenarbeit der verbliebenen Bandmitglieder seit der Bandaufl\u00f6sung im Jahr 2010.<\/p>\n
