\n<\/em><\/strong>Wir vom <\/em><\/strong>Hellfire<\/em><\/strong> bem\u00fchen uns, (mehr oder weniger) kurz und pr\u00e4gnant im Rahmen von 5 Fragen zu agieren (manchmal kann eine Frage auch gedoppelt oder getrippelt sein); dem Musiker obliegt es, nach seinem Gutd\u00fcnken zu antworten: kurz und knapp bis hin zu ausschweifend und umfangreich<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Evilon, Melodic Folk\/Death Metal aus Schweden. Ich bin sehr daran interessiert, mehr \u00fcber die Band zu erfahren. Nun habe ich f\u00fcnf Fragen an Kenneth Evstrand, den Gitarristen.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/p>\n

HF: Du hast 2015 die Band zusammen mit Jonny Sj\u00f6din gegr\u00fcndet, zwei Gitarristen zu Anfang. Wie schnell konnte die Band vervollst\u00e4ndigt werden und was ist der \u201eSpirit\u201c hinter Evilon? Ist das gew\u00e4hlte Genre von dem Land in dem du lebst, mit seinem rauen Klima und den tiefen dunklen W\u00e4ldern, inspiriert?<\/strong><\/p>\n

KE: Ich kannte Bj\u00f6rn den Bassisten schon vorher, also fragte ich ihn recht fr\u00fch, ob er mitmachen m\u00f6chte, es stellte sich heraus, dass er jemanden kannte, der growled und das war Joel, unser ehemaliger S\u00e4nger in der Band, also ging das ziemlich schnell. Einen Schlagzeuger zu finden dauerte l\u00e4nger, wir proben mit programmierten Drums, aber wir hatten Vorsprechen f\u00fcr Schlagzeuger. Keiner passte zur Band, also dauerte es mehrere Monate, bis wir Anders unseren Schlagzeuger fanden. Das Genre Metal ist es, was meine Seele ber\u00fchrt, es entstand aus vielen harten Zeiten in meinem Leben. Die Musik ist Therapie. Der folkige Teil unserer Musik ist inspiriert, wie man sagt, von der Natur hier und ich liebe diese dunklen W\u00e4lder.<\/em><\/p>\n

HF: Bisher sind eine EP und ein Longplayer erschienen. Habt ihr schonmal einen oder mehrere Songs live gespielt?<\/strong><\/p>\n

KE: Ja, wir hatten Live-Shows mit Songs von EP und Album.<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

HF: Die Proben, das Songwriting usw. wie handhabt ihr das? Hat Jeder seinen eigenen Aufgabenbereich? Wo nehmt ihr neue Ideen her?<\/strong><\/p>\n

KE: So wie es jetzt ist, schreibe und arrangiere ich die ganze Musik und Jonny schreibt und arrangiert alle Texte und Gesangslinien. Wir schreiben alles in Guitar Pro auf, teilen es via Dropbox, dann proben wir alle zu Hause zu den geschriebenen und h\u00f6rbaren Songs und treffen uns dann am Proberaum und spielen es zusammen. Manchmal \u00e4ndern wir das Arrangement eines Songs bei den Proben ein wenig. Ich habe fast st\u00e4ndig Ideen f\u00fcr neue Songs im Kopf. Die meisten Songs beginnen in meinem Kopf zu passieren, dann setze ich mich mit meiner Gitarre und Guitar Pro hin und schreibe es auf. Ich habe ein Bed\u00fcrfnis nach dem kreativen Prozess, neue Songs zu schreiben und zu arrangieren. Ich wei\u00df nie, wann neue Ideen kommen, aber es ist ein st\u00e4ndiger Prozess in meinem Geist und K\u00f6rper.<\/em><\/p>\n

HF: Die Pandemie mit all ihren Einschr\u00e4nkungen geht weiter und niemand wei\u00df, wann und wie sie enden wird. Was sind eure zuk\u00fcnftigen Ziele, im Moment noch mit den genannten Einschr\u00e4nkungen, und wenn irgendwann live Shows wieder m\u00f6glich sind?<\/strong><\/p>\n

KE: Im Moment konzentrieren wir uns darauf, unsere neue Single \u00abWalk Of The Damned\u00bb zu ver\u00f6ffentlichen. Wir ver\u00f6ffentlichen auch ein Video zu diesem Song. Ansonsten planen wir noch in diesem Jahr mit den Aufnahmen f\u00fcr ein neues Album zu beginnen. Wir sind gerade dabei, neue Songs zu proben und auszuprobieren. Wir haben genug Songs f\u00fcr ein neues Album, aber es werden st\u00e4ndig neue Songs geschrieben, also ist noch nicht endg\u00fcltig entschieden, welche Songs auf dem Album sein werden. Was Live-Shows betrifft, so ist das f\u00fcr die n\u00e4chste Zeit nicht geplant, aber nat\u00fcrlich wollen wir wieder rausgehen und Shows spielen, wenn sich die Weltlage \u00e4ndert.<\/em><\/p>\n

HF: Wenn es noch irgendetwas gibt, was du \u00fcber die Band loswerden m\u00f6chtest, dann Feuer frei. Vielleicht etwas \u00fcber ein neues Album?<\/strong><\/p>\n

KE: Nun, wie ich hier oben geschrieben habe, l\u00e4uft der Prozess f\u00fcr ein neues Album schon eine Weile. Ich denke, es wird gro\u00dfartig! Die neuen Songs sind unsere besten aller Zeiten! Der Sound ist heutzutage ziemlich anders, Jonny \u00fcbernimmt den Gesang und wir setzen auf viel mehr Melodien als fr\u00fcheres Material, viel mehr Melodien! Wir sind sehr zufrieden mit den neuen Songs und wollen sie mit den Leuten teilen.<\/em><\/p>\n

Hellfire\u2018s Quick 5 <\/em><\/strong>interviews try to give lot of info within narrow frame of five questions and five answers. Sometimes can happen, that one question consists of two or three. <\/em><\/strong>It\u2019s up to musicians to answer short, longer or excessively<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Evilon, Melodic Folk\/Death Metal from Sweden. I\u2018m very interested in learning more about the band. Now I have five questions for Kenneth Evstrand the guitar player.<\/strong><\/p>\n

HF: You startet to form the band in 2015 together with Jonny Sj\u00f6din. Two guitar players at the beginning. How quickly you\u2018re able to complete the band and what\u2019s the spirit behind \u201eEvilon\u201c? Is the chosen genre inspired of the country you live in with it\u2019s harsh climate and deep dark woods?<\/strong><\/p>\n

KE: I knew Bj\u00f6rn the bass player since before, so I asked him quite early on in the process if he would like to join, it turned out that he knew someone who did growling and that was Joel our now former vocalist in the band, so that went rather quickly. Finding a drummer took a longer time, we rehearsed with programmed drums but we had auditions for drummers. None fitted the band, so it took several months before we found Anders our drummer.
\nThe genre metal is what really touches my soul, it\u00b4s originated from experiencing many tough times in my life. The music is therapy. The folky part of our music, you could say is inspired as you say from the nature here and I love these deep dark woods.<\/em><\/p>\n

HF: There is already an EP and a Longplayer with the current line up. Have you ever played one or more songs live before?<\/strong><\/p>\n

KE: Yes we\u00b4ve had live shows playing songs from both the Ep and Album.<\/em><\/p>\n

HF: The rehearsals, the songwriting and so on how do you handle this? Each member has its own area of responsibility? Where do you get new ideas?<\/strong><\/p>\n

KE: As it is now, I write and arrange all the music and Jonny writes and arranges all of the lyrics and vocal-lines. We write it all down in Guitar Pro, we share it via Dropbox, all of us then rehearse at home to the written and listenable songs and then we meet at the rehearsal space and play it together. Sometimes we change the arrangement slightly of a song at the rehearsals.
\nI am allmost constantly having ideas for new songs in my mind. Most of the songs starts happening in my head, I then sit down with my guitar and Guitar Pro and write it down. I have a need for the creative process of writing new songs and arranging them. I never know when new ideas will come, but it\u00b4s a constant process going on in my mind and body. <\/em><\/p>\n

HF: The pandemic with all the restrictions continues and nobody knows when and how it will end. What are your future goals at the moment still with the mentioned restrictions and if at some point gigs are possible?<\/strong><\/p>\n

KE: At the moment we\u00b4re focusing on releasing\/promoting our new single \u201cWalk Of The Damned\u201d.
\nWe are also releasing a video for that song.
\nOther from that we are planning on starting recordings for a new album this year. We are at the moment rehearsing new songs and trying them out. We have enough songs for a new album, but new songs are being written all the time, so witch songs are going to be on the album is not finally decided jet.
\nConcerning live-shows, there are no plans for that in the near future, but of course we want to go out and play shows again when the whole situation in the world changes.<\/em><\/p>\n

HF: If there is anything else you want to get rid of about the band, fire free. Maybe something about a new album?<\/strong><\/p>\n

KE: Well as I have written here above, the process for a new album has been going on for a while.
\nI think it\u00b4s going to be awesome! The new songs are our best ever! The sound is quite different nowadays with Jonny taking over the vocals and we focused on much more melodies in the music now than earlier material, a lot of more melodies! We are very happy with the new songs and we want to share them with the people.<\/em><\/p>\n
