Mit einem cleveren Werbestunt ver\u00f6ffentlichen LUNAR SHADOW <\/strong>aus Siegen heute endlich ihr drittes Album: bereits vorab verk\u00fcndete die Band, dass sie sich auf WISH TO LEAVE <\/strong>musikalisch von ihren Heavy Metal Roots entfernen und mehr in Richtung Post Rock und Indie orientieren werden. Der ver\u00e4rgerte Aufschrei in der Szene war gro\u00df, die Aufmerksamkeit f\u00fcrs Album entsprechend generiert: schlie\u00dflich sind die Erwartungen nach dem Highlight The smokeless fires<\/a> <\/em>von 2019 hoch. <\/p>\n

WISH TO LEAVE <\/strong>ist am Ende weniger provokant geworden, als vorher angedeutet wurde. Das origin\u00e4re Element der Band, ihre mit pointierter H\u00e4rte durchsetzte Melancholie, tr\u00e4gt weiterhin das Geschehen. Der angesprochene neue Indie-Rock-Einfluss bewegt sich in Richtung “The Smiths go Heavy Metal”, wogegen wenige Musik-Liebhaber:innen negative Vorbehalte haben d\u00fcrften. Hinzu kommen gro\u00dfartig gesetzte Gitarrenspiel-Anleihen von Mark Knopfler <\/em>in den Album-Highlights “I will lose you” und “To dusk and I love you”. <\/p>\n

LUNAR SHADOW <\/strong>ist einmal mehr ein kreativer Ausbruch gelungen, der mich durchweg begeistert. WISH TO LEAVE <\/strong>wird viele Metal-Hardliner:innen entt\u00e4uschen, hat daf\u00fcr aber das Potenzial die Band aus der Underground-Ph\u00e4nomen-Nische herauszuhieven. <\/p>\n

F\u00fcr ihr in meinen Augen bis dato bestes Werk vergebe ich 9 von 10 Hellfire-Punkten<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
