Die Firma GAMA<\/strong> (gegr\u00fcndet 1980 von Peter GA<\/strong>rattoni und G\u00fcnter MA<\/strong>rek<\/em>) aus Kirchheim\/Teck galt in den Achtzigern nach Noise Records und Steamhammer als wichtiges Label f\u00fcr eine neue Szene in Deutschland: Heavy Metal! Zusammen mit Companies wie Earthshaker, Wishbone oder Mausoleum sorgte man f\u00fcr die etwas kleineren Br\u00f6tchen in diesem Segment und konnte sich auch bei der Presse nie so durchsetzen wie die Gro\u00dfen. Trotzdem sind Namen wie Stormwitch, Darkness oder SDI auch heute noch ein Begriff \u2013 oder: Gerade heute wieder! F\u00fcr mich ist ein musikalisches Paradies, ein Fundus aus vergangenen und vergessenen Tagen und als Sammler solcher Rarit\u00e4ten und das ist diese Kompilation allemal, quietsche ich metallisch vor Freude.<\/p>\n

Neben den bekannteren Acts wie Stormwitch, Gravestone, SDI, Darkness, Paul DiAnno\u00b4s Battlezone oder auch Killer, findet man unter den Songs auch v\u00f6llig vergessene Metal-Perlen (Renegade, Maniac oder Midnight Darkness). Die Compilation geht noch einen Schritt weiter, bietet mir gleich mehrere Bands aus der Anfangsphase von GAMA, 1980 und 1981an: Piledriver, Floating Opera, Sphinx, Poker und Requiem (alle bis auf Sphinx zum ersten Mal auf CD) und insgesamt sind hier 38 Titel vertreten.<\/p>\n

Songs wie “Tyrants rasantes “Free For All”, das Erinnerungen an die ersten beiden Running Wild Alben bei mir aufkommen l\u00e4sst, SDIs “Coming Again\/Sign Of The Wicked”, Darkness “Armageddon”, Vetos “Carthago” oder auch das geschw\u00e4rzte “Bloody Revenge” von Necronomicon bilden nur ein paar Perlen, die mit all den anderen eine Perlenkette mit gl\u00e4nzend hochwertigem Retro-Charakter bilden. Das ganze erscheint auf CD, nicht auf Vinyl.<\/p>\n

Fazit:<\/strong> ein schier unendlicher Fundus aus einer vergangenen metallischen \u00c4ra!<\/p>\n
