D\u00e4nemarks ARTILLERY sind nat\u00fcrlich keine unbekannten, denn seit 1982 treiben sie mit Unterbrechungen ihr metallisches “Unwesen”. Ihr neuntes Studioalbum “The Face of Fear” liegt jetzt zwei Jahre zur\u00fcck und aktuell diese Woche kommend, erscheint ihre zwei Track EP “The Last Journey”, nach einem traurigen Anlass im Jahre davor.<\/p>\n

Man ist ja von den Skandinaviern oberhalb von mir thrashig schnelles gewohnt, hier aber kommen sie zumindest auf der A-Seite mit dem gleichnamigen Titelst\u00fcck balladesk, traurig, episch und rockend schwer daher. “The Last Journey<\/em>” ist eine Widmung an den ehemaligen ARTILLERY-Gitarristen Morten St\u00fctzer, der im Oktober 2019 verstorben ist und enth\u00e4lt gesangliches der alten ARTILLERY-S\u00e4nger S\u00f8ren Adamsen und Flemming R\u00f8nsdorf.<\/p>\n

Der Zweite hier vertretene, der ordentlich Energie freil\u00e4sst, ist ein Cover von METALLICAs ‘Trapped Under Ice<\/em>‘. Dieser wurde schon im Jahre 1984 fertiggestellt und ist\/war ein Lieblingssong von Morton St\u00fctzer. Ich finde beide Songs sehr gelungen, aber eine Bewertung in Zahlen nehme ich hier nicht vor, nat\u00fcrlich haupts\u00e4chlich aufgrund des Anlasses. Genie\u00dft einfach die Musik und haltet mal ein paar Minuten inne, ich zumindest mache es.<\/p>\n

Diese EP wird digital und als Vinyl erscheinen, zumindest nach meiner Info und seit Anfang Oktober sind sie wieder im Studio und widmen sich dem neuen Album.<\/p>\n

Fazit: <\/strong>ein musikalisch sch\u00f6ner Tribut an Morten St\u00fctzer! Mange tak Morten, Mange tak Artillery!<\/p>\n
