ZZ Top steht seit eh und jeh f\u00fcr lange B\u00e4rte, geile Mucke und gute Stimmung. Immer mal wieder ver\u00f6ffentlichen die Texaner ein Best of, und da es gerade im Trend zu liegen scheint, ist es diesmal eine Best of Live. Der Sinn dieser Best of Betitelung erschlie\u00dft sich mir nicht wirklich. Ein normales Livealbum h\u00e4tte den gleichen Erfolg gehabt, aber egal…..<\/p>\n

Mit dem vorliegenden Album unterstreicht ZZ Top eindrucksvoll seine Qualit\u00e4ten als Live Act. Insbesondere, da es sich hier nicht um den Mitschnitt eines Konzerts handelt, sondern die 15 St\u00fccke an verschiedenen Orten aufgenommen wurden. Trotzdem spiegelt das Album insgesamt auch eine Einheit wieder. Es ist in sich stimmig, hat eine gute, solide Songauswahl, alle Highlights der Texaner sind vertreten.<\/p>\n

Auch die Aufnahmequalit\u00e4t ist herausragend. Wenn man die CD in den Player schiebt, die Augen schlie\u00dft und zuh\u00f6rt, hat man bereits nach kurzer Zeit das Gef\u00fchl in einer Konzerthalle zu stehen und die Jungens live auf der B\u00fchne zu sehen. Besser kann man ein Album nicht abmischen.<\/p>\n

Trotz einer Karriere, die bereits \u00fcber 45 Jahre andauert, sind bei den texanischen Blues Rockern keinerlei Zeichen von M\u00fcdigkeit oder Unlust zu erkennen. Das Album strotzt vor Energie und Spielfreude, die mir bei manch j\u00fcngerer Band oft fehlt. Billy Gibbons sagte mal: “Live for the show, live for the stage, and die on the stage while playing your favourite song!” Und genau danach h\u00f6rt es sich an.<\/p>\n

Bei einem Best of Anspieltips zu nennen ist schwer. Vielleicht mein ZZ Top Lieblingssong La Grange und Sixty Tons, mit Gastmusiker Jeff Beck.<\/p>\n

Ein Muss in jeder Sammlung!<\/p>\n
