“Heavy Metal Herrlichkeit aus den Kellern von Philadelphia”, versprechen BLAZON RITE<\/strong> mit ihrer Deb\u00fct-EP “Dulce Bellum Inexpertis”, was in etwa so viel hei\u00dft wie “s\u00fc\u00dfer, unerlebter Krieg”. In welche Richtung es stilistisch geht, ist damit wohl klar. Zu kl\u00e4ren ist lediglich: Wie schl\u00e4gt sich das Quartett?<\/p>\n

Die Antwort: recht gut. Die Riffs haben einiges an Schnitt, Sound und Mix sind herrlich altmodisch und in Sachen Songwriting kann man der Band auch nicht unbedingt \u2014 um im Jargon zu bleiben \u2014 “Inexpertise” unterstellen. Nur \u00fcberquert der Gesang erwartungsgem\u00e4\u00df mehrfach meine pers\u00f6nliche Schmerzgrenze. Vermutlich ist das auch volle Absicht, schlie\u00dflich gibt es in Fachkreisen sogar einen feststehenden Begriff f\u00fcr schiefe, pr\u00e4tenti\u00f6se Vocals \u2014 “kauzig”, sagen K\u00fchnemund und Konsorten. Keinen Punktabzug von mir gibt es deswegen trotzdem nicht.<\/p>\n

Unterm Strich bleiben 7 von 10 Hellfire<\/strong><\/em>-Punkten und die Hoffnung auf mehr Vocals wie im zweiten Song. Vielleicht ja beim Deb\u00fctalbum?<\/p>\n
