Hell yeah! Seit ihrem Deb\u00fctalbum “Scum<\/em>” aus dem Jahre 1987, sind sie bei mir auf dem metallischen Schirm und gut 33 Jahre sp\u00e4ter lausche ich aktuell dem kommenden 16.ten Studioalbum “Throes of Joy in the Jaws of Defeatism<\/em>“, das mit 12 Titeln und einer Gesamtspielzeit von 42:26 min. aufwartet.<\/p>\n

Das Quartett um Embury, Barney, Harris und Hererra lassen von beginn an keine Stille, keine Ruhe aufkommen, aber wer m\u00f6chte dies schon bei ND? Ich nicht! “Fuck the Factoid<\/strong>” besticht durch eine grandiose querbeet Arbeit an den Drums, Barney screamt schreiend verzerrt, die Tempowechsel passen und sogar kurzzeitig chorales dringt in mein inneres. “Backlash Just Because<\/strong>” rammt mir kraftvoll weiteres in die Eingeweide und der Druck nimmt kein Ende, perfekt.<\/p>\n

“That Curse of Being in Thrall<\/strong>” wuchtet sich pfeilschnell vorw\u00e4rts und die starken treibenden Riffs sind ganz zu meiner Freude, “Contagion<\/strong>” reitet frontal geradeaus und ohne Schn\u00f6rkel durch die Synapsen, w\u00e4hrend “Joie De Ne Pas Vivre<\/strong>“, “Amoral<\/strong>” und “A Bellyful of Salt and Spleen<\/strong>” ganz anders angelegt sind. Electro-\/Cybergrind, Post-Grind?, wie auch immer. Die Engl\u00e4nder bieten eine sagenhaft kreative Vielfalt an, die mich<\/em> dauerhaft beeindruckt zur\u00fcckl\u00e4sst. Hier werden sich die Geister scheiden, dem einen gef\u00e4llt es, dem anderen wohl eher nicht.<\/p>\n

“Invigorating Clutch<\/strong>” ist eine energiegeladene Mid-Tempo Granate und jetzt oder nie darf gediegen headbanging betrieben werden. Wer es sich nat\u00fcrlich bei den schnelleren Song zutraut, bitte sch\u00f6n und ab geht es bei dem durchgehend geradlinigen und handfest machtvollem Brett “Zero Gravitas Chamber<\/strong>” oder beim nachfolgenden “Fluxing of the Muscle<\/strong>“, der wieder etwas anders robust daherkommt, aber das volle oder sch\u00fctte Haar zu bewegen nicht unm\u00f6glich macht.<\/p>\n

“Throes of Joy in the Jaws of Defeatism<\/strong>” schreit anf\u00e4nglich schmerzerf\u00fcllt alles ohne musikalische Begleitung aus sich heraus und tritt dann aber sowas von fulminant heftig um sich, das ich nicht versuche auszuweichen, genauso wie bei “Acting in Gouged Faith<\/strong>“.<\/p>\n

Fazit:<\/strong> experimentell, energiegeladen, kraftstrotzend, wuchtig und vernichtend! Dr. Frankenstein dazu: Experiment gelungen und zwar richtig!<\/p>\n
