Das Quintett Osyron<\/em> ist eine Symphonic \/ Progressive & Heavy Metal-Band aus Calgary, Kanada. Die Gruppe besteht aus S\u00e4nger Reed, den Gitarristen Krzysztof Stalmach und Bobby Harley, dem Bassisten Tyler Corbett und dem Schlagzeuger Cody Anstey. Osyron \u00fcberbr\u00fcckt die Kluft zwischen traditionellem europ\u00e4ischen Metal und der Musik ihrer heimischen Zeitgenossen und zelebriert ihren eigenen Klang. Die Urspr\u00fcnge der Band reichen zur\u00fcck bis nach Ontario, wo sie unter dem Namen Morbid Theory<\/em> begannen. 2012 zog die Gruppe nach Alberta, man nannte sich nun fortan Osyron<\/em> und ver\u00f6ffentlichte bis dato zwei Studioalben (“Harbinger<\/em>” \/ 2013 und “Kingsbane<\/em>” \/ 2017). “Foundations<\/em>” wird zwar als Album angek\u00fcndigt, ist aber aufgrund des Vergleiches der Laufzeit mit den anderen Alben doch eher f\u00fcr mich im Bereich EP platziert und angesiedelt.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“The Cross<\/strong>” und “Ignite<\/strong>” (thematisch geht es bei zweitem um die Rolle Kanadas im Ersten Weltkrieg<\/em>), l\u00e4uten die 28min\u00fctig metallische Reise progressive energetisch ein, sparen nicht mit fetten Riffs und gl\u00e4nzen mit kraftvollem und teilweise h\u00f6her angelegtem cleanen Gesang. “Battle Of The Thames<\/strong>” hinterl\u00e4sst zu beginn eine in T\u00f6ne gefasste balladeske Spur irischer und schottischer Gef\u00fchle in mir, spielt ruhig, nachdenklich und wuchtig angelegt mit selbigen. “The Ones Below<\/strong>” startet heavy rockig, mit einem Hauch Rock`n Roll und zieht diesen auch bis zum ende hin eindrucksvoll und kr\u00e4ftig durch, w\u00e4hrend mit “Foundations<\/strong>” progressive und eindringliche Momenten noch einmal zum besten, zum gefallen meiner Ohren dargeboten werden.<\/div>\n

F\u00fcr ein Album wie es deklariert wurde ist es mir leider zu kurz, da h\u00e4tten ruhig noch drei Titel mehr darauf sein k\u00f6nnen, aber das ist wieder die pers\u00f6nliche Ansichtssache. Musikalisch bin ich definitiv geschmackvoll angef\u00fcttert worden, aber nicht ganz satt.<\/div>\n

Fazit:<\/strong> Ein kanadischer Geheimtipp, den zumindest ICH nicht aus den Augen verlieren werde.<\/div>\n
