Das kanadische Ein-Mann-Projekt unter der F\u00fchrung von Thorn aka RM hat sich dem schwarz mephistophelen Doom-Metal verschrieben und zelebriert diesen auch entsprechend b\u00f6sartig. Die mir vorliegende EP “Through The Sulphur Eyes<\/em>” ist die zweite Ver\u00f6ffentlichung in dieser Art, also quasi der Nachfolger der im Jahre 2019 erschienenen 2-Track EP “Plague Weaver<\/em>“.<\/p>\n

Eine grimmige Stimmung und Atmosph\u00e4re wird mir in der etwas \u00fcber 23 min\u00fctigen Laufzeit geboten, durchtr\u00e4nkt von einer stimmlich mehrfachen Pr\u00e4senz und Form, die du definitiv nicht in der Nacht, auf einem dunklen Pfade alleine hinter dir h\u00f6ren m\u00f6chtest. Alle f\u00fcnf Song bewegen sich in gleicher weise vorw\u00e4rts, au\u00dfer vielleicht “Descent<\/strong>“, der etwas mehr auf das Pedal tritt, aber zwischenzeitlich auch wieder in die ruhigere Phase eintaucht, w\u00e4hrend “Unchained<\/strong>” noch zus\u00e4tzlich mit d\u00e4monischem Sprechgesang, fliegenden Riffs Solos aufwartet. Jeder dieser Song k\u00f6nnte bei Silent Hill von seiner Art her eine Soundtrack-Hauptrolle gewinnen, soviel steht schon mal fest. Soundtechnisch ist es nicht gerade die Offenbarung, aber bei dem metallischen Genre vielleicht auch nicht unbedingt gewollt oder gew\u00fcnscht, zumal ich schon bedeutend schlechteres geh\u00f6rt habe.<\/p>\n

Fazit:<\/strong> Hier wirst du definitiv infiziert und sei es “nur” mit der Pest.<\/p>\n
