Als HELLFIRE<\/strong>-Mitarbeiter hat man es schon ganz gut. Jeden Freitag bekommt man eine lange Liste mit vielen Neuerscheinungen zugeschickt, jede Woche lernt man auf diese Weise mindestens eine wirklich tolle neue Band kennen.<\/p>\n

Zum Beispiel: APE VERMIN<\/strong>, \u00fcbersetzt: Affen-Ungeziefer, die es mir allein aufgrund ihres lustigen Namens wert waren, einfach mal ein Ohr zu riskieren. Eine Woche sp\u00e4ter kann ich wieder einmal sagen: Wer wagt, gewinnt.<\/p>\n

Gut, gewagt habe ich nicht wirklich viel, nur ein bisschen Zeit habe ich investiert. Aber gewonnen habe ich dadurch eine erfreulich eigent\u00fcmliche Band, die stilistisch irgendwo zwischen Stoner, Doom & Sludge angesiedelt ist und stimmlich Unklargesang der phonetisch verst\u00e4ndlichen Sorte liefert \u2013 ein guter Kompromiss.<\/p>\n

Langweilig wird das bereits vor knapp zwei Jahren erschienene SONIC MONOLITH<\/strong> trotz streckenweise sehr langsamer Geschwindigkeiten nie, daf\u00fcr sorgen auch einige unerwartete \u00dcberraschungen, fett und so richtig sch\u00f6n dreckig produziert ist es obendrein.<\/p>\n

F\u00fcr einen sehr charmantes Deb\u00fct bekommen APE VERMIN<\/strong> aus North Carolina von mir 8 von 10 HELLFIRE<\/strong>-Punkten \u2014 und Ihr, liebe Leser, den Hinweis, dass es das Album auf bandcamp.com f\u00fcr “name your own price” gibt.<\/p>\n
