Herr der Ringe – Cirith Ungol (Sindarin f\u00fcr \u201aPass der Spinne\u2018) war ein Pass \u00fcber den Ephel D\u00faath, der sich oberhalb von Minas Morgul befand. Soviel kurz mal zur Bedeutung des namens der amerikanischen Metal “Veteranen” CIRITH UNGOL, die sich 1972 gr\u00fcndeten. Das letzte Konzert fand 1991 statt, es wurde das vierte Album “Paradise Lost<\/em>” ver\u00f6ffentlicht und 1992 folgte die Aufl\u00f6sung. 28 Jahre sp\u00e4ter erfolgte vor kurzem mit dem f\u00fcnften Studioalbum<\/em> in der Diskographie “Forever Black<\/em>” das Comeback, was neun Titel beinhaltet und eine Gesamtspielzeit von 39:05 min. aufweist.<\/p>\n

Tim Bakers gesangliche Darbietungen mag nicht jedermanns Geschmack treffen oder gar sein, f\u00fcr mich ist aber ein entsprechendes Aush\u00e4ngeschild der Band, das gef\u00e4llt und vergleichbar<\/em> w\u00e4re Blackie Lawless mit seinem auch eigenen gesanglichen Stil. <\/p>\n

Nach dem kurzen Intro “The Call<\/strong>” wird frisch, fr\u00f6hlich und vor allem kraftvoll episch mit “Legions Arise<\/strong>” headbangend losgaloppiert. “The Frost Monstreme<\/strong>” bewegt sich doom-stampfenden vorw\u00e4rts, w\u00e4hrend “The Fire Divine<\/strong>” viererlei Facetten bietet, aber ansonsten nicht so hervorsticht. “Stormbringer<\/strong>” ist wieder ein ganz starker Auftritt, der gediegen schwer balladesk rockend \u00fcber die ganze Zeit getragen wird und sich von Sekunde zu Sekunde steigert, gerade und vor allem was das Vokalistische betrifft.<\/p>\n

“Fractus Promissum<\/strong>” zieht mich mit seiner Art, seiner Darbietung mit, “Nightmare<\/strong>” setzt morbid dunkle Momente und die entsprechende Atmosph\u00e4re in musikalischer Hinsicht frei, “Before Tomorrow<\/strong>” und “Forever Black<\/strong>” bieten noch einmal alles und vieles auf und sind rhythmisch auf doomlastigen Pfaden unterwegs, wobei zweiter der Schw\u00e4rze mit leicht choralem die entsprechend zus\u00e4tzliche W\u00fcrze gibt.<\/p>\n

Fazit: F\u00fcr mich <\/strong>ist es ein starkes Comeback mit Charme und Esprit!<\/p>\n
