Die Australier DEMONHEAD liefern mir ihr zweites Studioalbum “Black Devil Lies” inklusive dreier Bonustracks, was nun zur Rezension vorliegt. Die Band gibt es seit 2007 und 2015 erschien ihr Deb\u00fctalbum “Bring On The Doom”.<\/p>\n

Das Quartett ist in ihrem Land schon eine Hausnummer und nun galt es eigentlich Europa live zu erobern, aber die Shows ab April mit Geoff Tate (Gr\u00fcndungsmitglied und Ex S\u00e4nger von Queensryche – bis 2012) und Darker Half wurden aufgrund der Pandemie verschoben.<\/p>\n

“Against The Grain<\/strong>” oder auch der folgende “Betrayal Avenged<\/strong>” bieten mir kraftvoll knackigen Heavy Metal mit der entsprechenden Dynamik. “The Ritual<\/strong>” l\u00e4sst Erinnerungen an Pantera aufkommen, w\u00e4hrend “Children Of The Night<\/strong>” gesamtheitlich druckvoll aus den Boxen kommt und die Drums zwischenzeitlich ordentlich Pr\u00fcgel beziehen. <\/p>\n

Im weiteren Verlauf werden mir die unterschiedlichsten Facetten aufgezeigt, was Kreativit\u00e4t und Originalit\u00e4t betrifft. Egal ob das Riff strotzende “Black Devil Lies<\/strong>“, das knackige “Zombocalypse<\/strong>” oder das schwer aufstampfende “Double Cross The Dead<\/strong>” (die letzten beiden sind meine pers\u00f6nlichen Favoriten<\/em>), diese Song begeistern. Alles andere nicht? Doch! Mit “Face Your Demons<\/strong>” wird es im gesamten d\u00fcster und die drei Bonus-Tracks aus den Jahren 2011, 2017 und 2018 runden das Album wunderbar ab, das sie doch rockig anders sind, als ihre sp\u00e4ter geborenen Schwestern und Br\u00fcder. F\u00fcr Sammler und Fetischisten ist dies vielleicht aufgrund der Tatsache interessant.<\/p>\n

Fazit: <\/strong>ein Heavy Metal Album mit vielerlei metallisch kreativen \u00dcberraschungsmomenten, was zu \u00fcberzeugen wei\u00df!<\/p>\n
