HEX A.D. <\/strong>scheuen sich nicht vor gro\u00dfen Namen. Ihre Musik sei bestens f\u00fcr Fans von Rush, Rainbow, Iron Maiden <\/em>und Opeth <\/em>geeignet und stehe in der Tradition von Uriah Heep. <\/em>Auch geben S\u00e4nger Eir\u00edkur Hauksson <\/em>von der norwegischen Power Metal Band Artch<\/em> und Gitarrist Thomas Tofthagen <\/em>von Audrey Horne <\/em>beim Song “Hawks & Doves” ein Gastspiel sowie der ehemalige Dio<\/em>-Gitarrist Rowan Robertson <\/em>beim Bonustrack “Grace & Pain”.<\/p>\n

ASTRO TONGUE IN THE ELECTRIC GARDEN<\/strong> verkn\u00fcpft Psychedelic- und Doom-Elemente mit rauem Gesang, derben Riffs und tanzbaren Melodien. Dabei wird auch das Mellotron zentral und organisch ins Klangkonstrukt eingef\u00fcgt und verpasst dem Sound von HEX A.D. <\/strong>einen progressiven Flair der sp\u00e4ten 1960er Jahre. Auch thematisch orientiert sich ASTRO TONGUE <\/strong>an dieser Zeit. <\/p>\n

Unterm Strich steht ein abwechslungsreiches Album, bei dem vor allem der Heavy Rock-Faktor im Fokus steht. Leicht verdauliche Melodien (“Old Bones”) stehen neben bluesigen Schweren\u00f6tern (“Hawks & Doves”) und formen eine rundes Album mit vielen Tempo- und H\u00e4rtewechseln und einem genialen Raussschmei\u00dfer (“A Stone for the Bodies not found”).<\/p>\n
